Ari’s POV

Sitting at the lunch table with my best friend right beside me as I laugh my ass off as been a daily routine for me. I’ve always been used to having Jimin by my side that when he’s not around, I feel… empty.

As I sat on our lunch table alone, I sighed, pushing my tray of food when someone took the seat beside me and pushed the tray back to me.

“Why are you so gloomy, Ari?” Jungkook asked beside me.

“When is Jimin coming back?” I asked, almost whining.

“I don’t know either, but he repeated a lot of times not to let you skip meals so, eat up.” He said, pointing at the food.

I groaned, shoving the sandwich in my mouth, sighing now and then.

“Cheer up. He’ll be back soon.” He smiled, almost smirking, as he patted my head.

Apparently, Jimin had to leave the country for a week or two. Stupid and clumsy he may be, he’s actually the heir of their family business acknowledge nationwide here in Korea. Jungkook is his best bud and usually is with Taehyung but Taehyung also had to leave with Jimin since they’re both heirs but of different companies so the students who have no companies to take care of in the future are kinda stuck together.

Jungkook’s alright. I mean, yeah the four of us hang out sometimes, but I’m just more comfortable with Jimin and Jungkook’s quite silent. Jimin’s a noisy kid who always find a way to embarrass himself infront of others intentionally or not. His laughs are contagious and the positive aura surrounding the guy would surely lift your spirits up, especially with his eye smiles. Every time I tell a lame joke, he would always give the best reaction that would make me feel appreciated, even if it was lame. How do I know the joke was lame? I tried to tell it to Jungkook, but all he said was “Should I be laughing or…” *Sigh*

“Oh. Ari” Jungkook called me, suddenly snapping me out of my train of thoughts.

“Yeah?” I asked

“Let’s go treasure hunting.” He smiled, grabbing my wrist as he dragged me out of the school cafeteria.

“What are we doing in the school backyard?” I asked, looking dumbfounded.

“Look for something red.” He smiled innocently.

“Yah what are you up to?” I asked, raising my eyebrow as I fold my arms across my chest.

“Just look for it! It’s for you okay? I’ll be looking too so don’t slack off.” He said before wandering around, bending on bushes and trees in search of something ‘red’.

I sighed, rolling my eyes as I started to look around, bending here and there in search of anything red when I found something under the bench.

“Is this it?” I asked, waving a red paper while Jungkook ran to me.

“2” he read what was written. “This is weird… look for more.” He said.

After a half an hour of searching we found 7 red papers.

“I want some water.” I whined, licking my dry lips as I gulped to help my throat have some liquid too.

“Let’s just finish this puzzle first.” He said, sitting down on the grass as he stares at the 7 papers infront of him. I groaned but nevertheless sat beside him as I look down at the papers too.
