Stan felt too guilty after Eddie had just said that, he knew that he should tell Richie but he would feel too bad. So he told Beverly.

Everyone was waiting for Mike to text on the group chat so they could all play a game or chat about random shit. The two people who were most excited were Stan and Richie, Stan was excited because he was just bored and Richie wanted to speak to Eddie. He barely got to have a conversation with him at the bunker, he liked talking to Eddie. His innocent words make him laugh. Although Bev and Stan both knew Richie's 'dirty little secret', he still kept things to himself. He didn't really speak about his true feelings because he still felt uncomfortable, especially because he only recently realised how much he liked Eddie Kaspbrak. Richie was still closeted to his friends and family, Stan and Bev being the only two who knew about it. The boy still tried to convince himself that he was at least bi because he still thought girls were hot and all that shit but, the only person he could think about was Eddie. He didn't want to but he couldn't help thinking about Eddie's freckles that covered his nose and cheeks, his hair that was perfect combed every time they hung out, his cute, innocent voice and of course Eddie's smile. He knew it was cringey but he couldn't help it, he was in love with a straight boy (or so he thought)...
