Chapter 23~i love you! 🦋

Eddie had just listened to the voice mail that was sent by Richie, he sat on his head crying his eyes out.. He turned off his phone and slowly placed it face down on his desk. He kept on getting notifications at some point that he knew he should check if it was Richie. He quickly looked at his phone and didn't see any messages or calls or anything from Richie, only notifications from the groupchat where Mike, Ben and Bev were having their own little conversation. He switched his phone fully off and threw it across the room out of anger, he didn't know how to deal with Richie. He really liked him.. But if Richie kissed a boy back while he liked Eddie, then he wondered if he would kiss anyone else while liking him. His fists were clenching together, his eyes were still drowning in tears and his whole body was sat uncomfortably on his bed. He stayed like this until he heard slight noises on his window, it sounds like stuff was hitting it. He ignored it after the first 2 noises but they carried on going.. He decided to check his window and then heard a familiar voice call his name, "Eddie!"

It was richie.

"Please let me in. I beg of you to listen to me Eds, i can't deal with this," Richie pleaded while looking up at Eddie through his bedroom window. The boy sighed and thought for a second before looking back down at Richie.. "Climb up."
"Really?"
Eddie knodded bluntly and walked back over to his bed waiting for Richie to get up. He finally did and Richie took a seat next to him. "Eds.. Did you get my voice mail?"
"Yes."
"What i said was true you know, all of it."
"Mhm."
Richie sighed at the way Eddie was responding. "Listen, when it happened i.. I wasn't thinking straight. It all happened so fast and the next thing i know, ,Connor is kissed me.. I hated it, i pulled away while thinking of you the whole time i ran back. I was in tears because of how guilty i was, how i knew i let you down and how i knew you would get upset and angry. I didn't wanna keep that much of a secret from you though, i had to tell you because that would be better and i know it was but i fucked up. I really did. i jus-"
"Richie.." Richie took a breathe as he looked over to the small boy who was also in tears, Eddie was looking back at it.
"Yeah?"
"How do i know you won't do it again if you did it while liking me?"
"Eddie, you don't understand.."
"Understand what? You kissed him back Richie and while you liked me, i'm confused and angry and annoyed and fucking upset."
"Eds.. I was thinking of you the whole time, especially how happy i was that i finally won you over. But he kissed me so quickly that i didn't get a chance to stop him, it happened so fast and i hate myself for this. I fucking hate myself for letting myself do this.."
"Richie i..i believe you."
"You d-"
"But i will never be able to forget this.."
"Please Eddie. I-"
"Shut the fuck up for a second, okay." Richie nodded while wiping his tears.
Eddie took a big breathe before beginning to speak. "Richie.. You know i have trust issues right. In the past, girls had pretended to like me and then mock me for being interested, people have messaged me online saying i was cute and shit but found out it was just dicks who wanted to mock me as well. I also got close with this one girl and i thought she was the one, this was until i got comfortable with her and we went swimming and stuff at the quarry. I thought she was the one Richie, but she posted a pic of me that she took of me when we was the quarry. I was obviously not wearing a shirt and she was calling me fat and ugly and wierd and too hyper. I have fucking trust issues in the past Rich and you knew it. I'm putting myself and you through pain for not forgiving you, but you don't understand how scared and worried i will be if i carry on dating you.. Scared that you're gonna kiss someone else again, worried that what you said wasn't true."
"It is true Eddie.. Please, i- i fucking love you Eddie Kaspbrak and i won't be able to live without you. I've loved you for ages and i've known it! I fucking finally get to date you but then some stupid boy gets in the way, some boy that i have no interest in or don't even like. He ruined it. All my love is for you Eds and i need you." Eddie eyes were paused on Richie's face.
"Is that true?"
"All of it is true!"
"Y-you really love me?"
"Yes for fuck sake! I've always loved you."
"Richie.." Eddie stood up off the bed and went to stand in front of the boy who was still sitting down on the bed, whimpering.
"What are you doing Eds?" Eddie didn't answer, he just stood in front of the boys body until he placed both hands onto Richie's shoulder. He then pulled Richie up so they were both standing in front of each other. "Eddie?"
"I fucking love you too Richie Tozier." Richie's eyes widened with happiness but still had tears rolling down his cheeks.
"P-please forgive me," Richie asked quietly, his whimpering was stopping him from talking too loud or clear.
"I'm trusting you Tozier, i'm trusting you to not let me down like everyone else," Eddie replied.
"I promise i won't. Does that mean you forgive me?" Eddie looked up into Richie's eyes and a slight smile appeared. It wasn't a forced smile, Richie could tell.
"I forgive you," the boy finally replied. Richie's face lit up with happiness, he felt like he could faint out of happiness but also dizziness because of all the talking he had done. Actually, he always talks so that's fine.
"Soo, are you gonna kiss me or what?" Eddie joked.
"I-i didn't know if it was the right ti-"

Oh wow..

Before Richie could finish his sentence, Eddie kissed Richie on the lips. The kiss felt so good to Richie, especially after they both just confessed their love for each other. Eddie's hands were touching on each side of Richie's cheeks, Richie had one arm wrapped around the small boys body while the other one was on his neck. The kiss was deepening, Eddie could feel Richie's tongue slide through into his mouth. The boys were kissing for a while, they were stood up for about 5 minutes before they both decided to lay down in Eddie's bed and continue with their deep and meaningful kiss. They were making out in Eddie's bed for a while until they naturally just stopped and Eddie laid his head on Richie's chest, Richie laid his head on a pillow. Their hands were holding. The two boys were laying in silence (not an awkward silence though) until Eddie lifted his head to look at Richie. "Are you sure you meant everything you said on the voice mail?" Richie let out a giggle.
"Yes, every single word." They both smiled and went back to laying comfortably together. The two boys almost instantly fell into a deep sleep..
