Eddie was sitting alone at the entrance of the woods where the gang would normally meet. He saw Richie from the far distance, he was walking quite slow but Eddie didn't really pay attention. He had just been spending his time thinking about what could be wrong with Richie and what it was that he was hiding. "Hey Eddi spaghetti," Richie said as he approached the small boy who was leaning against a tree. Eddie could see the forced smile across Richie's face. "Richie."
"Yup?"
"Tell me what the secret is."
"Okay i was going to," be said with another forced smile. The two of them began to walk through the woods together. "Sooo, explain."
"Eds, promise me you won't hate me after this."
"i can't promise anything." Richie looked down at the boy worryingly. "I'm kidding, but just tell me for gods sake Rich."
"Okay fine." Richie gulped and began to explain. "Sooo you know that Connor kid?"
"Uhm, yeah?"
"Well yesterday i went to the arcade and saw him there. He asked me to hang and obviously i thought he could be a nice friend and be able to get along with the others." Richie stopped which his fingers were nervously playing with his t-shirt.
"Carry on," Eddie demanded.
"Okay well, we went to the quarry to sit and hang out and then he was talking to me and then he.. kissed me."
"He what?? Did you kiss back?" Eddie stopped walking and stopped Richie too so they were both looking at each other while he carried on explaining himself.
"No- well not really."
"Did you pull back as soon as he leant in and kisses you??"
"Well, after like 5 seconds i quickly got up and ran from him."
"Did you kiss back Richie!!?"
"Well-"
"Did you kiss back?!"
"Yes! But then i got up and ran from him because i don't like him like that. I like you, too much that i didn't want a boy to get in the way!" Eddie paused, tears were falling down his cheek while he quietly whimpered to himself.
"Eds-"
"No! Get off of me!" Eddie slapped Richie's hand away from his shoulder and moved himself so he wasn't facing him.
"Eddie.."
"No! You kissed him back you dickhead! The day we started dating as well. The day i admitted that i was bi! I trusted you, and for what? For you to go and meet with Connor fucking Bowers and for him to kiss you and you kiss back?!" Eddie was yelling at Richie's face, his tears were forever escaping out of his eyes. His breathe was heavy, too heavy that he felt like he was going to have a panic attack. He quickly got out his inhaler and started puffing on it.
"Eds, i didn't want to kiss him back. I swear! You're the only boy i want!"
"Fuck you!"
"What?"
"I should've never trusted you Richie Tozier." Eddie's voice had a evil, angry tone in it.
"Eds-"
"Don't fucking call me that!"
"Eddie you can trust me! I don't like Connor at all, he's a dick for kissing me and i'm a dick for not instantly moving away.."
"Did you not release he was leaning in?!"
"Yes bu-"
"Then why didn't you fucking move away from him when you had the chance?!"
"I-"
"Or did i vanish from your mind?! I'm obviously not that important to you if your own BOYFRIEND didn't come to mind when another boy was leaning in to kiss you!!" Eddie was full of tears, his cheeks were so wet that if you touched them then it would seem as if he just had a shower. His eyes were red, his hair was all messed up and his voice was slowly giving up with talking.. His sadness was too powerful for him to yell anymore..
"Eddie.. That's not true! You're the most important human being in my life.."
"If that's true, then you would never of kissed back to that Connor fucking Bowers.. You would of instantly thought about me, your boyfriend!" Eddie's voice was still filled with an angry and sad tone but he couldn't yell, his pain and sadness was stopping him.
"Please trust me.."
"Trust you? You kissed a boy back the DAY that we got together, not even an hour after. Im leaving."
"No please!" Richie grabbed hold of Eddie's shoulder to stop him from running.
"Get off of me!" He quickly yelled at him, his voice was getting croaky.. He slapped Richie's hand away from his shoulder and began running away without turning back.
"Eddie!! Please!!" He heard from behind him. Eddie stopped and quickly turned his head back to Richie and gulped. "Fuck you Tozier. FUCK. YOU!" And with that, the small boy ran away as fast as possible. Tears were still running down his cheeks and were dropped from his face, he couldn't deal with the amount of betrayal he was feeling. I trusted him.. However, Richie was left frozen. Tears were all repeatedly escaping from his eyes, his legs were shaking uncontrollably and his cheeks were bright red out of the anger he was feeling. He wasn't angry at Eddie, or Connor.. He was angry at himself for not being there for Eddie, not being there for the boy who had finally got the guts to come out to him.. Fuck yourself Tozier. Useless piece of shit..
