Marinette had the perfect spot in her classroom at Françoise Dupont High School At least she thought it was perfect. It was the second row, directly in the center of the room. To the common eyes, it's just a seat, actually, one of the worst as the sun beams down through the window onto the student who dares to assign their seat to that spot. It was known as the "Sunkissed seat" anyone who was brave enough to sit there would be burnt by the end of the day and was at least five degrees higher than the other temperature in the room. However, the first seat in the second row on the inside left, was the seat behind Adrien Agreste. The hansom dreamboat, famous model Adrien Agrest sat one row in front of Marinette Dupain-Cheng a so-called nothing in her eyes but there he sat, a few steps in front of her, just out of arms reach.
Marinette could watch his soft blond hair flow through the careful breeze all day and those emerald green eyes would continue to make Marinette fall for him every day. His soft lips, his flawless face, his strong physique if there was a god Adrien was it. Marinette could fantasize daily about there future together, first, it was the hampsters, than the house, then the children.
"That's how I got this epic shot of ladybug for the Ladyblog" Marinette continued to stare at the heavenly blond man that sat in front of her, Marinette sighed her head rolling to rest on her other hand. She continued to dream about there future together and wondered if Adrien would even give her a chance. "Marinette? Marinette!" Alya's voice interrupted Marinette's dream state, her wildest dreams with Adrien no longer floating around her head.
"Oh, sorry Alya" Marinette hung her head in shame. Was it weird to fantasize so much?
"Seriously girl? Anyway, have you seen the new girl? She's starting today." Marinette turned her head away from Adrien. New girl?
"Well I hope she's better than Lila" It was unlike Marinette to... dislike someone as much as Lila but after all the grief she has put Marinette through she had a good reason.
"You need to get over that" Alya looked through her square glasses, every time she brought up Lila they ended with a disagreement. Marinette just wished that Alya would believe her, this was the one thing they didn't agree on. Alya kept reminding her that a good reporter has evidence.
"Good Morning class" Ms Bustier chimed in, Marinette looked toward the beloved teacher. Marinette's eyes widened, it was the girl, the mysterious one. Marinette had wondered where she had disappeared to after Chat followed her into the alleyway, It was weird that she just vanished into the dark night. Her mind wandered back to the night before, Chat just wanted to help the girl, she was shivering in Paris' cold night but she vanished. "Id like everyone to give a warm welcome to Sage, our newest student" Her cold steel eyes met Marinettes blue belle ones, she could feel her kindness and compassion but something about here was strange.
Sages words from the night before flew through Marinettes head 'A hero thinks with their head'. It was something she had said to Chat once, how did she know that phrase? Maybe it was just a coincidence? It still gave Marinette chills, she didn't know what to expect from this new girl. She was a true mystery that made Marinette what to find out what exactly is her secret.
"Sage, Why don't you go find a seat and everyone else open to page 14 in your textbook" Marinette sighed and flipped her book open, she needed to forget about for now. Marinette continued to daydream about her and Adrien's future together.
~~~
"We should go talk to the new girl" Alya suggested as they sat on the wooden bench, class was over and they waited for Nino, Alya's boyfriend, to meet with them. Marinette looked at the silver-haired girl as she slowly glided down the stairs, her long coat cascaded down around her knees and her hand was placed perfectly upon the railing but what scared Marinette more was who she was standing with. The mysterious girl was walking with Adrien, was talking with Adrien. How could she already be talking with Adrien? That took Marinette three months the master and she could bearly do it now.
