My story begins one week before the senior year of high school, my Father and I were meeting with Principal Nezu with the intentions of discussing whether or not I would be accepted into UA High.

"Well Mr. Dragnae, I must say your daughter has an exceptional track record from her previous school in America. I see that she was born here in Japan. If you don't mind me asking, what caused you to move to America and back?" The small animal looking man who goes by Principle Nezu asked this question to my father.

"Thank you for your kind words Principle Nezu, I pride myself on my daughter's great achievements in school and fieldwork. To answer your question simply, my late wife passed away 7 years ago and after a certain incident, I decided it might be best for the family, to move them away. I never thought we would ever come back to Japan, that is until my daughter was finally able to pursue her dream of becoming a top Pro-Hero. I knew right then and there it was time to return home." My father spoke with a kind voice towards the principle.

"I have only ever had eyes for this school sir. I know this is the only option for me when it comes to high schools for young adults who dream of becoming heroes." I felt the words leave my lips as I chimed in after my father completed his sentence. I found myself locking eyes with the Principal with one thing still looming over my head. "Principal Nezu, I would be honored to attend your school and I am one hundred percent prepared to complete an entrance exam to be accepted."

"Now Dragnae, I do not believe that an entrance exam will be in order. Before you and your father came to my office I had made a call to your previous high school to learn more about your studies and your performance, along with your field work with a certain group. They had nothing but glorious things to say about you, so with that being said, we would be the ones honored to have such a skilled student added amongst the rest of our school."

The Principal said the words that my father and I were hoping for, although what I said to him was true, I was prepared to complete an exam, my father and I were both hoping I wouldn't have to do so.

I felt the urge to thank the man who sat before me, "Thank you so much sir, I'm truly happy hearing you say that. I was worried that the classes may be too full for me to even think of attending." Principle Nezu heard the words coming from me and I could see a small look of disappointment in his eyes, I became nervous.

"Originally when you submitted your application early this summer, I had thought that a new student would be impossible. The main reason it was impossible was simply that the class I had in mind to put you in was full."

I was slightly confused hearing the words coming from him. As he said those words I became so nervous that my palms had started to sweat and I was bouncing my knee without even realizing it. My father noticed this anxious habit that he knew too well and placed a comforting hand on my knee in an attempt to relax me. Feeling his reassuring squeeze on my knee I instantly felt slightly better even though I still felt nervous, it was more manageable now.

Principal Nezu completed his statement saying, "We got a call about two weeks ago from the mother and father of one of our students in class 2-A, Kyoka Jirou. Apparently, after the students put together a musical performance for the spring festival, Miss. Jirou had spoken to her parents about what she wanted to do with her life. She used to want to be a Pro-Hero more than anything, but after her class had performed music for both spring festivals, she decided her true calling was music. She has transferred into a new school for young adults wanting to pursue a career in music."

Principal Nezu was speaking with sadness in his voice, it was easy to see that he was upset through the mask of smiles he wore during our meeting. "We are saddened to lose such a promising student, but if music is what she wants to do we support her. With all of that being said, I am happy to tell the both of you that there is a spot in the class that I was hoping I could place you in, class 3-A, the top class in the hero course here at UA." Principal Nezu was smiling as he said these words to my father and me.

"That is such bitter-sweet news. I'm sorry to hear someone has left the hero course altogether, but I can't lie to you and tell you that I am not purely ecstatic that Alexis has a place in this school." I could feel the hand that my father had on my knee tighten with the feeling of joy taking over. He was trying to keep his composure, but when I looked over to his features I could see the smile creeping upon his face. I couldn't help but feel the same.

"Principal Nezu I'm so happy that there is space for me. This is the only school I could see myself going to. To pursue my dreams and goals, I knew I had to go to the top school to be at the top." I couldn't help smiling as wide as possible.

"This is good news!" Principal Nezu said beaming, also looking like he was holding something else back, "This all happening around the time of the first-semester starting seems to be fate Miss. Dragnae. I believe you will fit in quite well here at this school. Now I do have to bring up one more thing before this little meeting is over. As you know 2 years ago we implemented a dorm policy. All students are to be living in dorm buildings corresponding to their class, You will be in dorm building 3-A. Lucky for you, this building is for the third years, or as they call them in America, Seniors, so the building is bigger, meaning the rooms are bigger and nicer. I have already picked the room you will be staying in this coming year. Most of the students have already begun, if not finished already, unpacking into their dorms. Are you going to be alright with this Mr. Dragnae?"

He asked this as if there was a choice. If I wanted to attend this school I have to stay in the dorms. My father knows there have been too many attacks on this school, and in response to that, the school decided it would be safer to keep the students close and under their protection.

My father shifted his gaze towards my direction and smiled at me as if he was silently telling me that my dream starts here and it will come true. "I'm more than okay with that Principal Nezu, I know that my daughter is safe in your capable hands, or well, paws I should say." My father let out a small chuckle and in response to that Principal Nezu also laughed along with him as if approving him saying paws.

"And what about you Miss. Dragnae? Are you comfortable staying with us here at UA's dorms?"

I replied with a very wide smile on my face, "Of course I'm okay with that! It should be a ton of fun living with my classmates. I'm really excited about this year. I can't help but wish I had come here sooner, even though that would've been impossible." Principal Nezu responded with a gentle smile and a laugh.

My father and I had found ourselves leaving the Principal's office after he had told us some of the smaller details. The last few things he had mentioned was that one of the instructors was assigned to give my father and I a tour of the school and how to get to my dorm from the main campus. He also mentioned that I can start moving my things into my assigned room the Sunday before classes start since no one was supposed to be in the building.

After my father had given Principal Nezu a final handshake we exited the room sliding the door shut behind us. We both took a look at the paper where my dorm room number was written on and walked down the hall from his office into another meeting room where the instructor who was supposed to be showing us around waited for his new student patiently. As we both entered the room I felt my jaw drop open at the sight of the man standing before my father and I. I felt myself starting to breathe harder looking at him, I stood there staring with my jaw agape, I simply couldn't believe that he was standing there waiting for us.
