Fire surrounded me in the dugout pit the Germans had used as cover, and bodies littered the ground. I still had so many more to get through. I thought as I remained hidden in my cover.

"What the fuck happened here?" One of the soldiers asked the other two with him.

"I don't know man, but did you hear that creepy laughing? W-wait...you don't think...she's here...do you?"

"Probably...I mean, let's be real with ourselves...w-who else could have done this much damage? and in such a gorey way?"

I giggled quietly to myself as I listened to the men talking about the bloody dugout.

"S-sir...I-it has to be her. I-...Just look at the fires..." The soilder had so much fear in his voice it made me feel like I was unstoppable.

"Yeah, I know. It's her; The Demon is here. Have your weapons ready men! It looks like were the last ones alive."

I sat quietly for another moment before jumping out from my hiding place. My wings were spread out to their full size and my tail wagging behind me as I smirked at the men standing before me.

"Hello gentlemen. I'm going to give you two options." I made my way out into the middle of the dugout, making sure to step over any bodies that were in my way.

I was met with almost pleading eyes, "Option 1, you try and fight me, only ending in your own demise. Orrrrrrrrr, option 2, you run away screaming with your hands in the air towards my base and find out whether my people let you live as captives, or kill you there. Up to you." I said in a cheerful tone with a bright smile resting on my face.

Two of the men looked to who seemed to be their superior, waiting to see what he says. "You idiots, don't look at me like that! You know we can't run. WE FIGHT!"

I shrugged at their response, "Oh well, your funeral."

The soldiers came at me with knives. One taller man swung at my throat; ducking I spun and kicked his legs out letting him fall to the ground and quickly putting an end to his life with his own knife.

My wings lifted me off the ground giving me some height, but not enough to be seen quite yet. I flew downwards slamming both of my flame covered wings against the two remaining soldiers shoving them into the Earth below. They were dead, their skulls were easily crushed. These 3 dugouts were taken care of thanks to me.

The smell of burning flesh and blood flooded my nostrils as I stood straight admiring my handywork. I pushed a button on the special ear piece the general had given me,  "General Atikus."

"Go ahead Flaris."

"Three dugouts are down. No soldiers were left alive."

"Good job Flaris. Make your way to the final two then come back to base."

"Roger that." I pressed the small button muting my mic, making my way to the top of the dirt hill attempting to use it as cover for my next attack.

Wings flattened against my back and dragging on the ground due to their size, I crawled towards the next area I was supposed to hit. Once I got close enough to hear conversation I kept going to be as close to the middle of the two dugouts as possible.

I stopped crawling once I heard a massive amount of conversation. I extended my arms fully and placed both hands flat against the ground as close to the top of the dirt mound as possible. Sending heat to my hands I started heating the dirt to a melting point very fast, causing molten dirt and rocks to start flowing into the dugout.

"Uh, sir? Is that Lava?" I heard one of the men ask someone else.

"What are you- oh my God."

Lifting my flame covered tail I sent a whiplash of flames directly into the dugout causing fires and small explosions. Hmm seems they had some extra gunpowder laying around. Oh well. More fun for me.
