14 - It's a New Day

My eyes opened to the sound of my alarm going off next to me. My hands moved to rid my heavy eyelids of sleep as I stood up. My body felt as though I was 80 years old as I raised my arms high above my head stretching out my limbs.

With my arms above me I took a whiff of my under arms, "PHEW, I really need a shower!" I giggled to myself as I made my way to the bathroom. I reached into the shower to turn on the water and started to take off my clothes. While the water was heating up I brushed my teeth.

The cold water flowed through my mouth as I rinsed the toothpaste from it. My gaze shifted towards the mirror as I examined my teeth feeling proud that they weren't yellow.

I stepped over to the shower and got in repeating the process from yesterday, washing my hair, cleaning my body, and shaving my legs I hopped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my dripping body, and a second towel wrapped around my long bi-colored hair.

Stepping back into my room I pulled out my uniform and some clean underwear. My hands felt for the knot of the towel prepared to undo it when I was stopped by hearing a knock at my door.

"Hey Dragnae! It's Mina!! Open up chica!" I giggled listening to my new friend

I made my way towards the door. Carefully I swung the door open still wrapped in my towel. She carelessly stepping into my room

"Morning Mina" I flashed the pink girl a genuine grin.

"Morning Biddie. Sorry I'm over so early. I planned to just go downstairs and hang out but I figured your room would be more fun to hang out in." She laughed lightly towards me "Hurry up and get dressed slow poke! Momo's making pancakes for everyone!" The girl sitting on my bed radiated such an excited energy that I thought she was going to explode.

I laughed, "Alright, alright!!" Leaning over I grabbed my clothes and moved back into the bathroom to change.

I dropped the towel that covered my body and proceeded to start putting my uniform on. While changing I couldn't help but think about the fact that I had a friend sitting in my room. 'She came to see me of her own free will...this is new...and very strange...but I like it.' I smiled to myself as I finished putting my clothes on.

I turned the knob of the bathroom door and walked out to see Mina checking out my setup. She heard me come out and whipped her head towards me. "Whoa!!! Dragnae!! What is all this?! Why are there two screens?! And why does this big box change colors?! And also-"

"WHOOOOOAAA!! Mina!! One question at a time girl!" I said to the girl laughing. I walked over to where she sat on my gaming chair and pointed at the two screens she was talking about.

"So, these are monitors, they're just the screens of the computer. I have two for different reasons, basically cuz it's good to have two screens, more stuff to look at at once. And as for the actual 'computer'" I said in air quotes. "This is the actual thing that's does all the computing and processing of programs. This is the thing that allows me to see everything on the screens. Everything in it changes colors cuz I made this computer from scratch and I think it looks cool no lie." I said while nervously laughing and rubbing the back of my neck.

It was always weird whenever someone else saw my setup. My gaming is like a secret kind of. It's not like I'm ashamed of it, but it's just not something most girls are into.

She looked at me in awe as I explained the rest of my set up from my keyboard, to the mouse, and the headset. I felt heat rising onto my face as if I was exposing my naked body to some stranger.

She jumped from her seat and grabbed my hands and pulled me over to my bed. "Okay so what about these?!" She pointed towards my other two consoles.
