"I was waiting for your ass to show up" he chuckled.
Mona smirked while cleaning her clippers.
She was a barber and worked as a counselor assistant three days out of the week.

"You knew I was coming,"
she chuckled.
"Better! Sade called and told me that you better be here to hook her brows up,"
"Don't worry Ron I already spoke to her,"

Mona finished cleaning her clippers and got ready for her clients, while miles away James stared into the mirror wishing he could be walking through the doors.
He needed a haircut bad.

"Man ol man. When was the last time?"
Arthur looked at him through the mirror.
"Man I don't even know,"
James chuckled as he picked at his mini fro
"Well look how about you go get you a nice cut and keep the change to put some food in your stomach"
Arthur suggested while handing him some money.

"Oh no I can't"
James instantly turned around and declined.
"Bro what did we talk about? Take it"
Arthur patted him on the back and walked down the hall.
James stared down at the fifty dollar bill he handed him and listened to Arthur announce his departure.
James shook his head and looked toward the ceiling.
"Thank you God"

"You ain't bout that life nigga"
Ron laughed.
Mona chuckled at the debate that was being held. it was always something whether it was about money, cars, girls, or social media.
It was the year of 2012 and all of that was taking over.
"Hey hey hey"
The barbers looked toward the door and watched as Sade stepped through. She was a regular and everyone knew her.
"Hey Sade" Jaz another female barber spoke.
"Hey family. Yall been good?" she wondered.
"Nothing but it,"
Ron chuckled.
Sade sassed her way to Mona, but not before checking but the finest light skin dude she ever seen in Ron's seat.
"How you doing?" she smirked.
"Doing good how bout you?"
his New Orleans accent arrayed in the room.
"I am doing mighty fine honey,"
Sade emphasized causing everyone to laugh. She was quite the character.

"Child come on I don't have all day"
Mona laughed.
"I'll be back baby"
she uttered while following Mona on her heels to the back.
