Hugo, the head Council member had called a meeting about the war. One were Luna and Gavin would discuss the angering subject together, with Council members. As a large group.

Neither of the two dressed in fine clothes. They went with a rustic look. Tattered clothes, muddy shoes, hair askew. This was to show they were for the villagers, no longer apart of the Councils game.

Glares were set upon one another as Luna finally took her seat. Head of the table, opposite of Hugo.

The room here was chilled. Fall was sitting in, chilling everything it touched. Leaves fell from the many trees that lined the landscape behind them. This room was also large. Holding a table big enough to hold around seventy people. Though today it held a mere thirty. Twenty-eight council, Luna, and Gavin.

For awhile no one spoke. It was just a mix of glares, aggravated grunts, and annoying sighs.

"The people they are on your side." Hugo finally spoke, white hair moving has he pushed his chair a bit farther from the table. As if scared to touched the same surface she did.

"Yes. They are." She replied coldly. Her voice harsher. Holding force, bravery. She was no longer afraid of them.

"And you have magic?" He asked her. Not daring to look her in the eye.

"Yes we do. Much of it. Are you worried about it sir?"

"Well, it is certainly a disadvantage to us. We can no kill magic with simple swords and guns."

Gavin and her smirked the slightest. They were trying to compromise. Although, Luna and Gavin had their own plan.

"Sir, that is what war is. Advantages and disadvantages. I've taken mine, that is magic." Her parents would have been proud of her. She was always so frightened as a child. Kept her mouth shut. Did as told. Never broke the laws. Now she was speaking with such force, breaking the laws. Making her own way.

"Yes but, my men can not defeat magic." He spoke through gritted teeth. A sixteen year old was disagreeing with him. He could not hold much patience.

"My men do not have guns to defend themselves. They resorted to magic. The things they knew. If you do not like that, I suggest you use magic." She was pointing out the things the heard at the last convention the held. Hoping to get under their skin.

"You know much more then we do."

"Then learn it. Learn magic. Or you might as well be done for sir." She seethed out. Hoping to get him rethinking his whole plan. To make him think she knew what he had coming, when she partially did.

"I will not lose to you! You are sixteen year old girl whom know nothing of war, of peace!" He yelled at her, fist hammering the table.

"I know more then you think!" She stood up, hair twirling around her at the sudden movement. "I know you lie. I know three types of magic. I know how to be a proper lady, how to take down a Guard single handily. Do not say I do not know things. I know more then a sixteen year old. You should fear me! For you will lose to me! Magic is our savior!" She never thought she had so much anger until then. She could have said, so much more. Although all she did was walk out of the room. Slamming the door behind her as Gavin followed.

The Council sat there, baffled at what had just happened. A girl stood up to them, and told them they would lose. Told them what to do. Just to leave.

As far as most knew, Luna was in charge. The Council and Royal Guard feared her. Not daring talk to her unless need be. Some so fearful of her presence they wouldn't even glance at her.

Some Guards feared their lives and turned to help her. Her army slowly increased. Day by day. Her numbers upped by thousands.

They wore the color of her strength in the increasing army, the deathly red that she wore. The color of blood. One to blend into the blood of your foes, the blood of yourself. Some wore black, the second color. Sneaking out into the frightening night and slaying people. Attacking them. Letting the blood slowly blend into the charcoal black.

Collin soon joined them at the palace. Telling them of the sacrifice of those in the village. He told them of his mother and sister.

"Collin, I'm sorry." Luna said, placing her hand on his shoulder. He shook it off and life went on. War went on.

The sky turned from the sickly black, to a reddening color. Shading the sky with scarlet, rose, and magenta at twilight.

From afar, people could have sworn the world was ending. Yet word soon reached them, and they knew of the war.

Word sworn across farther then just the kingdom. It soon brushed against close colonies. Scraped against small nearby countries.

Luna did not let any of the none sense absorb her. She let it flow past her. Let the thoughts run through her as she wonder about the war.

The people were no longer scared and worried. They fought with power, freedom. Much like Luna was doing.

Yet her mind could not get past one simple thing. Her truth.

In the end, the kingdom would go in debt. She would soon have to marry Gavin. Which she did not mind. She grew to love him more and more each day. Her mind drifted to having to become Queen. To having to kill at some point in this war. Wear the blood her soldiers had to. Would have to carry a dagger, a gun, and kill people.

That was what she could not wrap her mind around. The fact she'd have to kill. Take a life. Steal a future, a past.

She knew how it felt. To have everything taken away at a moments notice. She had felt the pain four simple years ago. She had had to leave her family. Her earthy possessions. Her friends and schooling. She had missed out on living most of her teenage years in Hintion.

Luna didn't think she could do that. Just take a life. She just couldn't. It was inhumane, animal like. Though war was just that, an animal. Two opposing animals after the same prey. One with more power. One better built. War was costly.

She wanted the prey. The surge of freedom and power of the people. The people she would rule with order. Not manipulation.

She wanted the kingdom. Nothing more, nothing less.
