Gavin and Luna had retreated to Gavin's large room.

His walls were finely decorated, painted with dancing images of those in the village. Trees rolled over hills. People scattered along the edges, harvesting. He looked over a Luna. Watching her look at it, staring at the smile the appeared on her face. Listening to a slight laugh escape her.

"Every time I see that, I think of you being in the village. Not here. With me." He told her as he sat on his silk sheets. His eyes wandered. Landing on her small waist, no longer trapped by a corset. The thing that brought her pain when the two had first meet. Then landing on her hair, pieces of it softly falling from her bun, framing her face. He knew he loved her. Her strength. Her wits. He wanted to rule a kingdom with her.

"I do miss it. Yet. If it weren't for us. We wouldn't be at war. Wouldn't be changing the world." She smiled, sitting next to him now.

His arm quickly snaked around her and she lay her head on his shoulder.

"We could win with magic. We might actually change the world." He replied. She said nothing back.

Their minds were wandering. Luna's to the magic that could help them. A killers. Soon spinning to the thought of a new kingdom. One with her and Gavin. Not Collin.

Gavin's mind wandered to ruling with a blood line. A blood line starting with him and the wondrous lady beside him.

Without thinking he looked at her, staring at her small pink lips. Soon enough they kissed.

To him, she tasted of sweet sugar. Although he pulled away from her. Looking into her burning blue eyes. Wanting more but denying the thought.

"We will change this world Luna Durgrell. Together or not." He said.

"No, will be together Gavin. When the time comes, the people will need a King and Queen."

"We will fill that void then." He replied and kissed her sweet lips once again.

This was not what they should do in desperate times. Not during war. Both knew this. Yet it did not matter. Love was love. Even in a time of utter destruction.

Both had stayed in Gavin's room that night. Luna sat in a fine velvet night gown by the fire in the room. Listening to the soft crackle of fire.

Again her mind thought about the magic that could kill the Council and Guards. The magic she knew. A killers.

A single chant could swipe an army of their nimble feet. Wipe them of their soul. Of earthly possession.

She shivered even next to the heat. She knew to win, magic would have to be used. Though she did not know if the will to win war, was strong enough to kill her own Royal Guard. Kill a man whom had a life. Maybe a family. A home.

Luna did not wish to take them from their peace. They had done it to her four years before. She knew the pain. The heartache. She did not want to inflict that on others.

"Yeah. Are you alright Luna?" Gavin asked as he moved next to her. Quickly he wrapped a blanket around her shoulders, noticing her sudden shake.

"Gavin," She whispered and looked up him. "Is this right? To kill them with magic?" She asked him slightly. Nearly fearing his answer.

"It's time to start a new era Luna. You know that. We're going to start that. This is right. It may not seem like it, but it is." He said. She nodded.

Her eyes grew heavy as her thoughts invested her mind. Gawking at her like she was prey.

Gavin noticed and picked her up. Placing her on his bed and laying next to her.

Their breaths evened out, and the both feel asleep. Knowing they were changing something. Weather it be a little, or a great amount.
