Diana's POV

After two months . . .

There are too many words lingering on to the walls of my throat waiting to be spilled out, stuck like dried ink on the tip of an unused pen. Tell me how do I write down the heaviness I feel in my heart whenever I see you choosing someone else over your sleep when I stayed up late waiting for you to want me too.

Pain is the greatest driving force of my own as of this moment. Pain that I burried because I can't hold onto it anymore. Loving her is indeed the best decision I've made, but to suffer because of her pain is the state of being devastated.

Life is a constant battle of struggles, but it is for you to respond in every obstacles. You can choose to fall unto darkness and lost all your grip or you rather wake up in enable to see the morning sun and see what's belong to you next.

And this is where I belong . . .

"Goodmorning, Miss Mackey. You have a meeting later with Mr. Stockinger. I hope you have a great day." The phone call ended.

It was my secretary who called. I'm currently sitting in this comfy couch in this coffee shop. Realizing how did I manage to be here at this point. I sip my cup before closing the book that I'm reading, I firmed my gaze at the outside view. Seeing all the people walk across the street, talk and laugh with each other's words. I smirked as a simple thought slips through my head.

I am now the new CEO at one of the biggest company here in Taguig.

It took only two months for me to reached that. I took the risk and left everything I have, my law class to be exact. After pursuing this, I got no regrets. This job really boast my personality, I can say that I'm a better version of myself now. This scenario keeps me away from everything. Pain, agony, hatred and well . . .

Franki.

"Hi, babe. Am I late? Jeez, I am so sorry." My girlfriend came closer to me as she brushed her forehead. She then dropped her bag and kissed me on the cheek.

"No, you are just on time." I smiled before insisting her to sit.

"Thank goodness." She exclaimed with calmness before noticing the cup of coffee in front of her side. She pout her lips after looking at me, "Aw, you already ordered my favorite, how sweet." She slightly stood up just to pinch my cheeks and giggles.

"Of course, babe." I casually said before touching my cheeks that she just pinched.

"Do you have any plans for tonight?" The little one asked softly.

I shake my head, "Yeah," she looks dismayed already, "I have a meeting, but don't worry, it's just for only 30 minutes I guess." I added to lighten up here mood.

"I want to have a dinner with you, Miss Cariaga." She teased me by calling me 'Cariaga'

I smiled, "I would love that, Miss Marcelo." We both chuckled as I said my words.

Who would have thought that this could actually be happening. Veah is now officially my girlfriend, again.

I never intended to be with her, but this one moment in my life where she is the only person who sacrificed to stay with me. As I pursue my job, she pursues me. She never give up and almost begged. How can I resist, if I know how hard it is to not reciprocate your feelings. So I gave her a chance and we've been together for one month.

"Oh.. you have something in your mouth." She lean her body closer to my position as her hands go through my face, "There," she removes something in my mouth. A coffee stain I guess.
