Diana's POV
Last chapter before the ending...

The theory states that dreams don't actually mean anything. Instead they're merely electrical brain impulses that pull random thoughts and imagery from our memories. This is why Freud studied dreams to understand the unconscious mind. Therefore, according to Freud, your dreams reveal your repressed wishes to you.

But if it means nothing then why did I dreamed of you?

I dreamt of you last night, a smell so familiar, a touch full of comfort and words I needed to hear, the closure I crave. I woke up this morning, agitated. To realise that's the only place I'll experience those things.

"Hija, I missed you! Thank God, you are finally back." My mom almost hyperventilate before embracing my whole being. Look how fast time flies, it's been almost a year since the last time I went home. I missed everything in here, especially her.

"I'm happy to be back, Mom." I kissed her cheeks before dropping my bag on the floor. My neck turns to a craned as I analyze the house. No change at all.

"Are you going to stay?" The old ones asked with a low voice, "Please say yes..." She grabs my hand so I tapped her head.

"I am... but not for now," I pause just to smile, "I'm having my promotion in New York, Ma. I have to leave next week, and as soon as I get back. I promise, I'll stay with you." I assured her before kissing her head.

"I'm so proud of you, Dee." Her body intertwined against mine causing me to be weakened.

"I love you so much, Mom." I tighten our hugged before pulling out my body. I gaze af her before fixing her hair to the side.

"I have to get ready for the party tonight, I'll go to my room, see you later." I kissed her on the forehead.

"I love you, Nak." I smiled while making my way to my old room. I really miss her so much. Her hugs, kisses and everything about my Mom.

"Fuck!" I was startled by the shock when I saw Franki in my room.

What the heck is she doing here?

"Dee?" She turns her side to meet my eyes, "You are back." Her eyes were full of excitement as she run towards my direction before hugging me so tight.

I did not moved. Our body parted as my phone rang inside my pocket. I shoved her slightly before picking up the call.

"Vee?" I said to the line while avoiding Franki's existence.

"Yes, I'll just get my things and I'll go there."

"Bye, see you." I hang up the phone. I walk directly to my closet to get my dresses.

"Are you avoiding me?" Her words become louder as she walks behind me. I stopped for a moment then I continue packing my clothes again.

Yes, Franki, I'm avoiding you.

"It's been almost seven months, are we still friends, Diana?" A sarcastic high-tone came up with her mouth. I stood up passing her way, approaching straight to the mirror.

I'm wearing a suit because I just went to a meeting. My hair looks wavy so I instantly brushed it with my comb. Then Franki's pouty face slips through the small side of the mirror. I glance at her but immediately took it back.

"Diana..." I gradually felt her body stick behind me. All of a sudden I stopped combing and what kind of craze had overwhelmed me.

"Is this because of Veronica? Are you avoiding me because you're back together and she's jealous of me?" Her words were teased for my ears. I gently moved out my body to our position while trying to get out of this room.
