When Luna reached the dressing room, she met Demon coming out, a wry smile on his face.
"What's that look for?" She asked him.
"Good luck, is all I'm saying," he shook his head. "Something's going to spontaneously combust I'm there if you don't do something."
"Thanks for the heads up," she shook her head in disbelief. "Those two are incredible."
"In what way?" Alex chuckled.
"Dumb? I don't know. They're both idiots."
"I'm aware," he rolled his eyes. "Glad it's you, not me."
Luna smiled at him, and pushed the door open, before entering the room. The room was shared between both the players - in the back there was an enclosed shower area, but the front of the room was occupied by large seats and a few small tables and benches. At present, it also contained an utterly depressed Nick Kyrgios. Rafa was nowhere to be seen, but a shower could be heard running. Luna's heart sunk as her eyes fell on her boyfriend, and she crossed the room and crouched before him, taking his hands in hers.
"Hey," she smiled at him weakly. "You okay? You were incredible out there, I hope you know that."
"It wasn't good enough," he shrugged, but still, he threaded his fingers through Luna's, and squeezed them gently. Luna chased his dark eyed gaze around the room until he finally looked at her, and she could see all the light had been knocked out of his eyes. "Did you get your answer?" He asked.
"I wanted you to win, amor," said Luna. "I felt that, when you just dropped to the ground like you'd been shot, I felt it here." She moved their joined hands to her heart, and Nick smiled a little. The Australian dipped his head, and brought their lips together, kissing her hungrily. Luna was lost to the feeling of his skin against hers, and she brought her hands up to his neck and held onto him tightly.
"You're gonna make me talk to him, aren't you," Nick murmured, gesturing with his head towards the showers were Rafa was presumably freshening up.
"I do have things I need to clarify," she nodded. "I need you to know I'm not blaming anyone, not at this stage, anyway. I'll make up my mind about that after we've spoken."
"Okay," he said in a small voice. The shower had stopped now. Rafa would be out in a few minutes. Nick pulled his girlfriend closer to him, and she rested her head on his shoulder, pressing a kiss to his neck sweetly. The two of them waited in silence until Rafa was ready to grace them with his presence.
Rafa glanced briefly at them as he entered the room, but looked away quickly as he saw them sitting so closely together. Luna reluctantly sat up, and looked at his retreating form.
"We need to talk, Raf," she called after him, as he headed for the farthest side of the room. "All of us."
"Okay," he said quietly. He didn't appear to be moody, which Luna judged to be a good thing. On the other hand, Nick was grumpy as hell, which didn't help things, but her chances of ever getting them in the same room at the same time again were fairly slim, and she'd decided to take the opportunity whilst she had it.
