Reena's POV:

My legs ached, my arms ached, my heart ached. I look around to see the ground near my calves and shins covered in blood, and my knife on the ground coated in it. It must have fallen out of my belt, I laughed as the chorus of a song came to my head,
Give them blood, blood
Gallons of the stuff,
Give them all that they can drink and it will never be enough,
So give them blood, blood, blooooood,
Grab a glass because there's going to be a flood...
But pain held my laughter from filling me with happiness, that and the memory of what had happened. The sun was setting so I'd been blacked out for a while, footsteps crunched the drying leaves in the thick bushes off to my left so I grabbed my knife and dragged myself under some bushes, then hid.
"I swear she came this way," claimed Jason's voice not far off my hiding spot, I lay motionless,
"I wonder why there's blood all over the ground?" I heard Caitlin's voice mutter, "did you injure her?" She asked him,
"No, but at the speed she took off at it's a possibility she fell on her knife." He answered,
"Okay," she relied, "Reena, if your there, please come out." I stayed put,
"She's not here anymore," said Jason, yes,I thought, finally,
"Alright we'll head back then." Caitlin said, and their footsteps faded with the sun.

I always loved the night, the dark of it, the cool, the cover. I made my way back to camp slowly as the stars began to fill the sky and most light was gone. But as I came closer the sound of zombies and people waking up to a fight filled the once-silent night, I ran forward as well as I could and came face to face with all out slaughter, blood had already dampened the ground and Wilson's life-less body lay on the ground with a gaping wound leaking blood from the side of his neck. It was obvious he couldn't even make it to be a zombie, he at least needed blood to do that, but the zombie who would be feeding on him lay at his feet, emotion clouded my thoughts and I ran into battle for my friends.
