I'm Not Dead Yet...

Chapter 23

So guys this is before they found bailey in felicity's POV just so their relationship didn't go... Unexplained.

Felicity's POV:
"Hey felicity can I have a talk with you by the stream?" Says bailey with his hand out towards me like a true gentleman.
"sure" I blush as I take it but then let go after he pulls me up. We don't want the group to know we are dating and holding hands would just be a shout out from the top of a building.
"Reena bailey and I are just going to go have a talk by the stream, just saying this so you don't think we have been killed while we are gone" I say across the fire.
"Ok thank for letting me know" before she gives me a wink and stifles a giggle. Gosh Reena has her girly moments.

When bailey and I get down to the stream we sit down on some large rocks and sit in a comfortable silence. As i am just staring at eyes the exact same shade of blue as mine bailey gives me a smile which breaks me and probably anyone in a coma out of their trance.
"What are you staring at?" I say with a giggle a constant blush painted across my cheek bones.
"Just some unbelievably beautiful person in front of me" he says with his somehow above perfect smile. All I could do was somehow go redder in the face. In my attempt to hide my face I let my light blonde fringe fall across half my face which he swiftly runs a finger along it and pulls him to the side before enveloping me in a hug of warmth. Pulling away slightly i look up slightly to look into his eyes.
"You know you have beautiful eyes?" His turn to blush.
"They are exactly the same as yours" he says punching my shoulder playfully. Then he did something we have never done before. He bent down the slightest bit and closed the gap between our lips. softly at first but when i respond it gets more passionate. Then we pull away smiling like idiots.
You would think he has done this before.
"Flick?" He says smiling.
"What? And don't call me that!"
"Sorry hun but also why are your sweet lips so dry have you been drinking water?" He asks with true worry on his face.
"Yes i just haven't had any for about an hour" i lie. He gets his drink bottle he found and gave it to me to have a drink.
"But this is your water i don't want you to waste..."
"Shhhhhh just drink it you need it more then i do. Besides i can purify more later" i do take the opportunity to drink a mouthful. I'm not trying to kill myself its just that i have always been conscience about saving supplies i have a weird thing where there is never enough of something so i just get more of it until there is heaps of it so we dont run out.

After a while of just sitting in a comfortable silence, talking about our families and occasionally kissing bailey suggests an idea.
"Hey hun would you like to go for a swim?" He asks with a cheeky grin. Well i don't think it was cheeky its just the beautiful way he smiles.
"Um bai look at the sky..."
"Oh yeah..." He says looking up on the almost raining sky.
"And we should get back anyway we don't want Reena to think we got stabbed now do we?"
After a few kisses on the way back we stopped obvious interaction and just sat next to each other talking with Reena, caitlin and jai. After about an hour bailey gtes up and says he will be back soon. He probably went to purify more water considering i drank a bit of it.

About ten minutes later jai went to go for a walk or something. So we continue to talk about the frozen movie that came out just before all this happened. When we start to change subject we hear a ear piecing scream ring out across the bush.
"JAI!" Screamed Reena as she grabbed her knife and he gun, Caitlin doing the same. I don't grab anything as i know that when it comes to me being hurt Reena would slash their necks before they even laid eyes on me. Reena and caitlin go off sprinting across the leafy floor towards the clearing we heard the scream. While i sprint the first half of the short run while jogging the rest. Im not lazy or anything just with the lack of water its hard to do too much at a time.

By the time i catch up i just catch caitlin running towards Jason with her knife a fallen jai behind them both. Then i hear the thud of Caitlin's body. My body tightens and tears that feel like blood automatically fall down my cheeks. All sound just turns into a loud ring in my ears and all i see is jason saying something then walking off just as Reena throws a knife at his back as he falls to the ground. But all my focus is on my fallen friend. Caitlin and i have always been inseparable. And i never thought i would have to cry over her body. As far as we know she never kissed a boy, had a job, anything like that. She never had a good last moment with her family as they we changed before her. It feels like someone has thrown a boulder onto my back. I hug her bloody body, run my fingers through her blonde-brown hair then leave her for Reena to bury as i can never stomach it and throwing up is the last thing i need right now.

I walk over to reena in a rage.
"hand me your knife" i say to her a little to loudly.
"Sure but don't kill me or you please its not worth it" she says with a shade of worry across her face. I stay silent but take the metal blur she had in the hand out stretched. I don't know where this rush of confidence came from but i walk over to Jason's body with the knife anyway and stab him repeatedly in the back just as Reena did once. With each stab i think of a memory that caitlin and i shared and that her ruined. There was no sensation of bursting blood, he wouldn't even let me have that. All that happened from my angry stabs was dark red blood welling around the holes i hade made. After around thirty stabs i went down from my high and broke down in tears.

After burying the bodies we go to find bailey. And kate suggests we go to the old camp about 200 metres away. I was exhausted due to the lack of energy but agreed all that was needed to get me by was for Reena to stop me from swaying every now and then and for the hope of having baileys arms rapped around me.

When we find bailey shock and happiness waves over me. Because even though we found him he is beaten to the ground. Reena and i run over to him and while she crouches before him I sit next to him and see the blue of those eyes once more. While Reena checks over his bruises and cuts i get bailey woken up and he starts to answer the questions going through my head.
"Jason he..." He paused to take a cough of blood "came and beat me"
"Oh baby its alright. Did he get you anywhere bad?"
"He stabbed my in the shoulder" he says as i look to the massive cut across it.
"Oh my bod bai! How could he do this to you."
"Its too hard to explain" he says getting quieter as he speaks.
"Oh I'm sorry i shouldn't have let you go alone i should have asked jai... Or caitlin to go with you at least they would be safe now"
"What happened?"
"Jason he... He..." I couldn't finish as he nodded in understanding. He uses his non injured arm on the back of my head to pull my lips to his for one last time.
"Im not gonna make it baby" he chokes out after i pull away.
"Shh shh don't say that."
"Its true I'm so sorry guys" say the once silent Reena.
"No no no stay please bailey please." Bailey closes his eyes and the fall and rise of his chest gets slower. I brush the similar to mine, once light blonde, blood soaked fringe from those eyes that never fail to be beautiful.
"I love you" the last words i say before his body lays lifeless. By this time i
The world is nothing to me i have lost the love of my life and my best friend both in one day. I crawl in a ball and cry not caring what Reena is doing, not caring what the world is doing it is dead to me.
