Danny's pov

The school canceled the rest of the week so that the police men and detectives had more privacy.
As soon as I got home I had to explain everything to my mom.
Including me and Lloyd's hangout...

"Hm," she said.
"What?"
"Oh I don't know. The woods? Really?"
She grinned, earning a playful scoff from me. "It's not like that!" I said.
"Riiiight," she said. "I'll let you go. But, stay safe, okay? Don't do...things you know you shouldn't-"
"Mom!!"
"I know, I know," she laughed.

When I entered my room, the first thing I did was quickly throw my backpack in the corner and sit on the edge of my bed, asking for my fathers presence.

"Dad, this is important," I said.

"Dad?"

"What's so important, Doc?"
He said, appearing in the same spot beside me as he always does.
I rolled my eyes. "You know exactly what I'm talking about."

"Oh? I don't think that's true," he grinned.
"Bullshit," I gave him a serious look, forcing him to be honest.

"Okay," he began. "Mr. Jackson touched you...did things to you! How
do you expect me to do nothing?!"

I sighed, getting fed up already. "He looked horrible! I saw him!"
My father stared at me, saying something that stuck with me.

"So you're telling me he didn't deserve it?"

I was quiet.
I knew he sort of did, but I didn't want to admit so.
"Everybody deserves a second chance," I said.
"Bullshit," he scoffed.
I glared at him. "Mom gave you multiple chances."

Pretty sure I really got him there.
He looked down.
"Who said I deserved it?" He mumbled under his breath.
This made me feel worse for the man.
I just wish I could know more...more about his true feelings.

I put my arm around him as he remained looking at the ground. "You are so loyal, you know that? I never knew how kind you really were. But you have to realize that you did deserve those chances. You have such a kind heart, somebody just took advantage of it, and led you to where you are now."
I could hear the small sniffles coming from his nostrils.

"Oh!" I suddenly sprung up from my bed. "I've got a hangout!"
I was already wearing decent clothes for the hang out since I hadn't changed out of my school outfit, so I was pretty much running to my door immediately to go.

"Have fun, kiddo," my father shouted as I ran.

"No funny business!"
