I got my head in the clouds,
My feet so off the ground.
The gravity that held me has snapped itself,
The sadness within me is long gone.
Happiness is just one step away,
The step I'm too afraid to take.
I jump down the ladder from where I came.
I'm on the ground again,
The clouds a million miles away.
I go down and down and am back to square one,
To the hell where I belong.
I'm six feet underground,
Sadness and despair the only things I feel.
I try to climb that ladder,
Up and up I go.
I'm back in the clouds,
My feet so off the ground.
