~chapter 34~

-a year later-

it was positive. I was pregnant. i was going to be a mum. I start crying, i couldn't believe it. I'm so happy and already so ecstatic to meet my baby. Blake and i have talked a few times about starting a family, but i know we both weren't planning it being this soon. Blake is at the studio and he won't be back for a few more hours, so that gives me time to think about how i'm going to tell him. I was so excited to see his reaction to the happy news.

i kept the announcement simple and easy. I wrapped up the pregnancy test and put it in a gift bag along with a baby onesie. After i got it all ready, i plopped down on the couch and started watching The Office to pass the time until blake gets home.

"hello, love. How's your day been?" Blake walks in and pecks my lips.

"it's been fantastic. How was yours?"

"Good. We started writing a song, which is pretty exciting." He smiles.

"Yay! I'm excited to hear it." I smile back. "Stay here okay? I have a present for you." I jump up and walk to the kitchen counter to grab the gift bag.

"What's the special occasion?" He says as i hand it to him and sit back on the couch.

"Nothing just open it." I say. He starts to pull out the tissue paper and i'm growing more nervous. His jaw drops when he picks up the test and onesie.

"Y-you're pregnant?" The biggest smile i've ever seen on him is plastered across his face. I nod and we both start crying. He wraps me up in a hug and we fall back onto the couch.

"How long have you known?"

"Only a couple hours. although i've had my suspicions for about a week."

"Do you know how far along you are?"

"I think only four weeks."

"i love you i love you i love you!" He covers my face in kisses as i laugh.

"I can't believe we're going to be a family of three soon." I smile.

"I know i'm so excited."

I woke up the next morning sick to my stomach. I ran to the bathroom and almost immediately threw up. Not a minute later i feel a strong pair of hands hold my hair back and rub my back. I wasn't excited for the morning sickness. After i finish, i slump against the wall and groan.

"Baby, it'll be okay. I'm right here."

"thank you, b."

"let's go back to bed, you need sleep." Blake helps me up and we climb in bed and fall asleep.

i wake up a couple hours later and blake joins me for breakfast. "So i guess we need to decide when to tell everyone the big news." Blake says.

"I was thinking after we know it's official because i could still have a miscarriage. So when i'm ten weeks along i think."

"Let's hope you don't have one." Blake says and i nod.

"If it's okay with you, i want our family and friends to find out before the whole world does. The world can wait a few more weeks."

"I completely agree."

-a couple weeks later-

i'm ten weeks pregnant and i got my first ultrasound a couple weeks ago so we have all the sonogram pictures to announce it to our loved ones. We were George and Delilah's house, so my old house, hanging out with our friends and blake and i thought it'd be the perfect time to tell everyone. We were sitting on the couch, blake's arm draped around my shoulder when he leans in and whispers "Do you want to tell them?" and i nod.

"Hey guys blake and i have an announcement." I smile and hold up the pictures. "I'm pregnant!"

"NO WAY!" everyone exclaims. Indie and Delilah immediately come towards me and gives me a big hug.

"How long have you known? Do you know how far along you are?"

"We've known for one month and i'm ten weeks."

"One month?! And you didn't tell us?!" Delilah exclaims.

"We wanted to make sure i didn't have a miscarriage." I tell them. The other two boys come up and hug blake and I. We were all so happy and i know baby richardson is going to be so loved. We eventually make it to my parents house to find blake's family there just like we had asked. Right when we walk inside, emma and abbie and tackled me in a hug.

"hey hey hey be careful." Blake says and abbie and emma give him weird unknowing looks.

"Blake it's fine i'm fine." I tell them and abbie and emmas eyes widen and before i know it, abbie pulls me upstairs.

"leilani are you pregnant?" Abbie asks hopeful.

"Uhh what makes you say that?" I say, unsure of what to tell her.

"Blake is my brother and he's never been protective when i've hugged you like that."

I smile and say, "Yeah i am. Just don't tell anyone yet, blake and i were wanting to announce it during dinner."

"oh my gosh leilani you are!! How long have you known?"

"About a month." I smile.

"I'm gonna be an aunt!" She squeals. Fortunately dinner rolls around and right when we tell everyone the big news, everyone erupts in excitement. Mine and blakes parents came up to us to hug and congratulate us and to share their excitement. Emma and carson eventually make it to us too.

"hey lani, congratulations! if you ever need anything, call or text me! i can't believe you're going to be a mum now." Carson comes up to me and gives me the biggest hug.

"Thank you cars."

soo i didn't know how to end it so i just ended it like this so sorry if its a really weak ending but exciting news!!!!
