((yay fluff))

"Hey...let's go on a date. Let's get coffee." Spinel said, with a stoic expression on her face.
"Mmm, sure!" I replied.

The couple walked to a nearby Starbucks. Garnet probably wouldn't be able to handle the two bantering if she didn't have coffee.

I walk into the building, inhaling the scent of coffee and caramel.
I ordered cake pops and Spinel got a black coffee. We sat down in a booth around the corner. The cafe was pretty empty today.

"Shortie....I..uh..Pink and I got into a fight...and I-I just.." Spinel held in tears. "I dunno how to make it up to her."

"Well...can you tell me how it went?" I asked.

"So it started off with Pink getting mad at me for spending time with ya," I nodded. "And then she just...lost it.." Spinel seemed shaken up. "S-Sh-She s-said that my—" The magenta headed girl choked back a sob.

I knew not to push her further.

"Your situation is complex...wow...I guess you should try to apologize to her." I reply.
"What? But she was wrong!......

right, Y/N?"

I didn't know what to say. She was at a vulnerable state right now. I can't push her to apologize to Pink, but the words Pink said were definitely out of line. She couldn't have meant that.

"Communication." I finally speak after what seemed liked forever.
"Uh...wha-what?" Spinel blinked in confusion.

"I said "communication", you should definitely go talk to her." I giggled a bit at her response of glaring.
"Are ya stupid? There's no way I'm gonna apologize to her for spending time with you!"
"Look, just call her and see if she picks up." I reply.

"I...uh..okay. B-but for today, let's be together." Spinel mumbles.
"Of course!" I reply happily and clasp my hands. "So I was thinking, what are some places you'd like to travel to? My mom and dad are gonna go on a trip and they want me to decide where they go." I lied, but Spinel didn't know that.

"Hmm...Hawaii? I dunno, haha..uh...hmmm..." Spinel was thinking.
"Illinois?" I ask.
"Nah, it's boring there." Spinel replied.
"Okay...how about...Colorado?" I ask.
"Nah."
"Maryland?"
"..."
"That sounds cool."
"Yay!" I giggle happily.

"Hey, Spinel...what are your plans for college?" I ask her.

"Eh...I don't have any.." Spinel said softly. "Not sure yet.."
"Well, that's alright!" I give her a peck on the cheek, and she blushes fifty shades of red. "I'm not sure either, my family name owns a business and I don't really have to do anything."

"Hey, Y/N...I'm scared..scared about the future, scared about what'll happen to me.." Spinel tensed up. "Scared of losing Pink. I know this seems really shitty to say....but I'd choose Pink over you, mainly because I love my sister a lot, and I love you too, but I don't wanna lose her for you." Spinel finished.

I felt sad.

"Don't worry, silly. I understand, Pink has known you longer and has done so much for you. I get it. I'd choose my parents over you.." I reply.

"I'm glad...I love you, Y/N. And I'd do anything for you."

...

"Let's go see Pink."

The couple arrived at the Gem Mansion. It was massive, with black hates and a beautiful front lawn. Y/N's wasn't similar at all. She looked around in awe, everything was so large. Spinel gently punched her arm and brought Y/N back to reality. They both sighed and with their fingers intertwined, walked into the home.

The floor was made out of marble. Pictures of the family hung on the off-white walls. One of them asked like a family picture.

I take a closer look and see five figures. Two children laughing and chuckling, and one could only assume were Pink and Spinel, and three adults. Both kids were standing in the front, their hands intertwined. The adults were all women, a blonde woman standing next to the right of them, a blue-haired woman standing to the left, and one silver haired woman behind them. The one on the right had blonde hair tied into a bun, and a milk chocolate colored skin tone. She was posed in a very serious manner, her hands behind her back and her posture was straight. A gentle smile was on her face, though. The second lady was a tired looking, pale, blue haired woman. She had her arms clasped together and she was laughing. The third woman stood behind the two children, her short, white hair covered her eyes as she grinned.

They all passed the vibe check.

"Spinel, dear, welcome home!" She was the woman from the photos, the blue-haired one. She had a oddly endearing demeanor. It was difficult to feel nervous around her.

"Hi Auntie. Is uh...Is Pinky here?" Spinel asked nervously.

"Why yes, she came home crying about how she made a big mistake. I was worried about the poor girl." The lady known as Spinel's aunt explained.

"That's my cue." I let go of Spinel's hand and push her towards the ivory stairs that led to the second floor. "Go on, tell her you love her."

Spinel nodded hesitantly and walked upstairs.

"Pinky...?" Spinel asked.
"S-spinel?" Pink wiped her tears and stood up from her bed. Her expression seemed regretful.

No words were spoken. Spinel just knew what to do. She sped over and pulled Pink in a tight embrace. Pink returned the hug.

They both sobbed together.

"I'm so sorry Spinel! I—I shouldn't h-have said that to y-you! I'm SO SORRY-Y-Y!!"

"Shh, shh, it's okay, I'm sorry too idiot...I shouldn't have neglected you so much...I'm so stupid..."

"NO YOU'RE—" Pink stopped to sniffle. "NOT! YOU-YOU'RE SO BRAVE AND AMAZING AND TOUGH AND I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!" Pink continued sobbing.

"I love ya too, Pinky."
