Chapter 35 ~ "Birthday Bash!"

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPINEL!"

Strings of confetti flashed around in a rainbow mess. The whole room was decorated in an assortment of different colors. Streamers hung from the ceiling, balloons covered the walls, and glitter covered the floor, similar to snow. It was like a unicorn vomited chronically.

This was my idea.

I had set it up to surprise Spinel, but a fragment of me thought she'd be upset. This was her seventeenth birthday. I hope she'd enjoy it.
Spinel's expression was mostly shock at first, but then quickly turned into a wholesome smile. I had a mini heart attack as she sprinted over and thanked everyone, hugging them. Someone started playing music, and the party began.

I felt lightheaded, so I went to go sit in the bathroom.

Although, besides me feeling half dead, the party was going great. Spinel's presents assorted from clothes to games, and so much more. She got cute birthday cards that were some of the most adorable things I'd ever seen.

Spinel was overjoyed by this, you could tell by the amazed look in her eyes that happy was an understatement for what she was feeling.

I was glad she enjoyed this, I spent a lot of time on the decorating, cooking, and invitations. Pink Pearl insisted on helping me, but I always declined, deciding I needed to take this on for myself, no matter what.

When Spinel arrived, she hugged Pink Pearl and me, assuming we did it, along with Yellow, Blue, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Yellow Diamond, Blue Diamond, White Diamond, and Rose Quartz.

"It was all Pink's idea!" I exclaimed.

The others looked confusedly at me as Spinel expressed her gratitude to Pink Pearl.
"OHMYGODPINKIEDIDYOUDOTHISBECAUSEHOLYSHITIT'SAMAZING!" Spinel gushed, then hugged Pink Pearl aggressively, pushing her forwards and backwards over and and over while still holding her.

After a few minutes, Spinel went off to go play Super Smash Bros with the others.

Pink turned to me, raising an eyebrow as if questioning my words.

"Y/N, this was all your idea. Why would you..." She drifted off, her eyes widening. "Wait, is it because...you wanted to let everyone else have the credit instead!? Oh Y/N!" Pink Pearl wrapped her arms around me, squeezing me. Her cheek squished against mine.

"Y-yeah, haha!" I chuckled nervously.

"Alriiiight! Let's have a great time!" She grasped my hand and excitedly ran towards the others. I giggled softly and let her drag me away.

Pink quickly threw me at Garnet, who slung me over her shoulder and began running at top speed upstairs, along with the others. Apparently, we were playing dress-up?? Or something??

Honestly, I had no idea what they were doing now, I thought we were playing video games, but uh, alright.

"AHSHFGRHWHDHDJFJ!" was all I could hear.

We rushed into Spinel's room, and I was thrown onto her bed. It was a canopy bed, the canopy was magenta, her pillows, sheet, and comforter were white.

The bed was extremely fluffy, though.

I mostly heard squealing as everyone began checking outfits. Again, I was thrown around aimlessly, and eventually found myself struggling to put on a medieval princess dress. I walked out of the closest, slightly giggling with my hand over my mouth on how strange I looked.
