A summer afternoon had arrived. I was napping quietly under the oak wood, in my little happy place. Nothing could bother me here. Not my older sister, not my parents, and definitely not that annoying mutt that follows me around.
"I'm late! I'm late! Oh my stars! I need to wait for her! I must hurry!"
I opened one eye to meet a tiny girl. She looked so innocent and fragile, her tiny bunny ears that rested on her head flopped about as she rapidly shook my leg to awaken me.
"Huh? Who are you and what do you want from me?" I snapped grumpily. No one was permitted to disturb my sleep. I noticed her hair was in the shape of two hearts.
"Doctor! Doctor! Please listen!" She cried.
"Hehe, I'm not a doctor-"
I screamed as she yanked my wrist and sent me flying down a hole, basically yeeting me.
My screeches could be heard while I passed by a variety of gems, each different sizes, shapes, and colors. The hole looked pitch black, but once I was in it, it was a glittery baby pink. Sparkles flew by me. I tried to grab one of the gems, but my hand always barely missed by an inch. I could never manage to touch one, which I found odd.

I calmed down when I had found out I landed on hard, marble floor. I stood up and had started walking, the click-clacking of my shoes bounced off the walls for the odd corridor. It was dark, and mysterious, almost like my horror novels. Where was I exactly? And how was I going to get out of the hole?
I had reached myself in a forest. I walked around, examining the wood of the trees. I didn't realize it at first, but I had noticed that the wood changed colors, going from a dark brown, to an extremely darker version of purple, magenta, green, and yellow.
"Are ya lost, little girl?"
I turned my attention towards what seemed like a cat.
"Erm, what? I'm not lost, I just...don't know where I'm going." I continued walking. The cat floated beside me as I stepped through a forest.
The floating cat-girl looked exactly like the bunny, except her hair was messy and she looked ever so slightly tired.
"So, where ya headed?"
I didn't respond.
"Look, toots, I know you ain't a mute, so ya might as well just answer me. Maybe I could help ya."
I groaned in frustration and swatted her body away from me. "Shut up, you can't do anything to help me. Unless you can get me out of this hole, you're useless." I paused.
"I might as well just leave you here-"
"NO! PLEASE! I CAN HELP YOU! I-I'LL BRING YOU TO THE BARRIER! I.." The cat-girl quieted down and sighed. "Just...please...don't go, kid."
I stopped to think about what to do next. Obviously, this forest wasn't doing anything for me. Maybe this cat wasn't so terrible after all, she could help me. She seemed to break her mysterious exterior when I mentioned leaving her. Noted.
"Alright, kitty, take me to this 'barrier'." I reluctantly let her hold my hand.
"Let's go, then." She looked ahead and her usual chill expression returned, with a simple tired and cocky smirk.
♡♡♡
We walked around for about ten minutes before reaching a clearing. A long table was there. It had an assortment of cups and pastries on it.
'What the...' I thought.
