tasteless sweetness.
that clung to the throat
harsh and harassed.
clicking its way out and
up to the brain.
vibrating.
it was insidious
as it overtook me.
quick like a snail
or a turtle on speed
and i was spinning
as it pervades the senses
of my senseless body
the lingering hunger
and thirst was banished
and i felt shallow.
i felt little.
