At least when we found ourselves entertained
At least when we found ourselves unawaresthe world didn't stop
Turning
Churning the delight
Within usAt least then...
We run
We chase
What ever is left
We hope
We pray
We cling on
To the dreams still alive
Within us
We move our limbs to the beat
Of our hearts
Traipsing the glen
Of that quiet resoluteAt least then...
We run
We hide
We look inward
We seek
We find
The solace of our labyrinthine
MindOur only refuge
Our way out
Our means to misconstrue reality
We found escape in solitude
Within the confines
The maze we had created
For ourselves.
