Chapter 14

Demi's POV

I lay with my head resting on Luke's chest as he held me in his arms. He tried to stop the dare and I believe him even after everything that has happened. I turn my head to look up at him. He noticed me looking and smiled down at me. I just stared up at him for a few moments before noticing that he had a bruise around one of his eyes.

"What happened to your eye?" I asked him.

"My dad came over the other night when my mum was at work and he was drunk. I told him to leave and he did this." He said gesturing to his eye.

"You need to tell the police or something Luke." I said as I sat up a little.

"No I don't. He said he would never come back."

"But he still might."

"And if he does then I will call the police." He said before pulling me down and pressed his lips against mine.

"I missed you so much Demi." Luke said once we pulled away.

"I missed you too." I said before lying in his arms again.

"I should go." Luke said before starting to stand up.

"No. Please stay."I said as I grabbed his wrist.

"What about your family?"he asked as he sat back down.

"My dad and Lisa have gone away for a few days. It's just me and Ashton."I said as I sat up next to him.

"Ok I will stay if you want me to."

"Of course I want you to."I said as I picked him on the cheek.

He smiled before he lay back down and pulled me with him. I have missed this so much. We just lay on my bed talking for hours until we heard the front door open and slam closed.

"Demi are you here?"I heard Ashton shout as I heard him start to walk up the stairs.

"In my bedroom."I shout back.

I heard his foot steps grow louder as he moved closer to my bedroom door. He gently knocked on the door before opening it and stepping inside. He smiled when he saw Luke and I lying together.

"I take it you two have made up."He said sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Yeah we have."I said smiling.

The next day

I walked into the school with Luke holding my hand. I saw people turn and look at us but we ignored them and carried on looking for Calum and Michael. We found them standing at Luke's locker waiting for him. They grinned when they noticed our joined hands. They both ran towards us and pulled us into a group hug.

"I am so happy you are back together. Demi I'm so sorry for making that dare." Calum said as they pulled away from us.

"Don't worry. Everything is ok now."I said.

We heard the bell ring and Calum and Michael said bye before making their way towards their lesson.

"Thank you for forgiving me." Luke said as we slowly walked to lesson.

"It's ok Luke. I'm happy I did."

"I love you so much Demi."

"I love you too Luke."
