For the old times sake I walked to see our old University. It was memorable place for both for us. I remember how we started to drift apart after you started dating Jimin. We didn't talk anymore. I was trying to avoid you. I was so tired. Tired of hiding my feeling from you. When we saw each other the only thing you talked about was how amazing your new boyfriend was. It was way worse when you always joked: "Why are you single? You would be perfect boyfriend!" And I replied: "I don't know. Maybe I am waiting for the right one ". Every time I answered your question, I got more and more frustrated, and more emotionally tired. And my heartbreak didn't help the situation. And the only answer I came up with was to let you go. So, I started to avoid you. You know, not hanging out with you anymore. Always being "too busy" and stuff like that. And it worked. At least for some time.
I walked past my department. I walked inside of it and stood in a hall. It had changed a bit. It was more spacious, and the tables and chairs were new. It almost looked like even this place was trying to replace you, replace us. I walked further inside. I passed the many classrooms. It was like all my classes where I have spent time were coming alive. All of the boring classes I spend almost falling asleep. Or the classes where I goofed around with my friends, or the actually interesting ones, where I actually concentrated. I passed the study rooms. As I was passing them, I started to hum while walking. It was a melody which I used to sing when I was trying to remember something from a textbook. It's funny actually, it was you who taught me it. Finally I reached the library. I opened the door quietly and the smell of the books and dust filled my nose. There were still few students around the tables. Some were discussing about ideas, some were calmly reading and some tapping to the table, trying to figure something out. The only place that haven't changed is this library. I smiled to myself as I made my way to table.
I walked to the library. It was sunny evening and the sunlight was shining through the old windows creating a calming atmosphere. I nodded to the librarian who looked to my direction when the door closed a bit too loudly. She just shook her head. I walked to one of the shelves trying to look for a certain book. I kept wondering around trying to look for it. Until I saw you. I stopped. The sun was shining through the window and it painted you golden. Your head was popping to the beat of your music. Your tongue was sticking out and you were constantly pulling a stand of your hair behind you ears. You looked stunning. Slowly I made my way to you and sat in front of you. The chair made a small sound which caused you to look up. You took your headphones of and smiled softly. "Hey" You whispered as softly as your smile. "Hey" I responded. "What are you doing here?" I asked out of curiosity. You puffed your cheeks and let out a sigh "Doing my essay. It's due tomorrow and I have only 50 words" "That's what you get from procrastinating" I said with a I-know-it-all smile. You rolled your eyes and turned your attention back to your essay. For a moment I stared at you. Just admiring your beauty. And without giving it any thought I reached to you. My hand brushed your check as I gently brushed a strand of hair out of your face, behind your ear. You looked up confused. I tried to act natural while my heart was beating out of my chest. An instant wave of regret hit over me but I just brushed it of and tried to act natural. "Your hair was falling to your face" I said while taking my books out of my bag. "Thank you" You mumbled. I just nodded. A comfortable silence fell upon us while we studied. After a while glanced at you and I saw your checks heating up. A small smile crept on our lips.
That silence continued until you closed your computer quite loudly. I was startled by your sudden action. You started packing your things up "Are you ready?" You asked. I just shook my head. I noticed how your shoulder slumped a little. Actually, I was ready but I just wanted to spend more time with you because now days you were so busy with your boyfriend. Then you sat down and stared at me. "I'll wait until you are ready." I gave you a thankful smile. You fetched a book and started reading it. After a while you got bored of reading it and started to doodle something to the last page while a small smile lingering on your lips. Suddenly you started humming some familiar melody. I looked you surprised but you were too concentrated on doodling. Suddenly the librarian came behind the shelves, "SHHH! Be quiet or go somewhere else to sing" You nodded sheepishly at her. She disappeared again between the shelves and we just laughed. You looked so pretty while laughing wholeheartedly. You grinned at me and at that moment I realized that all I ever needed to be happy was just you.
