The great hall was mostly empty, the only noise coming from the low chatters of early-rising students.
The most noise was coming from the Slytherin and Gryffindor tables.
At the Slytherin table, Students talked in low voices. They were wearing long green robes typically associated with Quidditch.
Suga wearily eyed Terushima, who was finishing his 4th cup of coffee.
"Hey give me that!"
Turning around Suga found Makki and Mattsun fighting over a donut. One quick movement and the donut was in Suga's hand. With a wink, he took a bite.
"Eww, what is this" Suga complained, chugging his coffee to get the taste out of his mouth.
Makki shrugged, "I don't know, I only wanted it to spite Mattsun"
"You can do a lot with spite," Oikawa said, coming up behind them. "Ooh, donut"
He swooped in and grabbed the half eaten donut in front of Suga.
"No, don-" Suga started but it was too late. Oikawa had taken a huge bite.
But then he took another. He didn't seem affected by the taste. Mouth open, Suga couldn't help but stare as Oikawa walked away.
The air was crisp and clean, wind cutting sharply through the heavy robes Suga wore as he walked out to the Quidditch pitch.
It was nearing the end of fall, so the air had slightly more of a bite to it. But after 3 days of rain, it was welcome by all the players.
Today they were having a practice game. Very rarely did they have a chance to play a full game outside of tournaments, so both teams were very excited.
Despite being vice-captain, Suga didn't know which house they were playing. He wouldn't be surprised it if was Ravenclaw. Their team was actually pretty good this year.
Suga felt a gust of wind blow his hood over his head. He was so close to his destination so he didn't bother to fix it.
Ducking into the shed, he walked over to the wall with the green decals. Grabbing his broom, he turned around to walk out.
Instead he came face to face with a Gryffindor.
"Oops, Sorry" Suga squeaked, ducking around the tall-ish figure in front of him.
"No problem!" The voice was so familiar, warm and comforting.
"Daichi?" Suga asked turning around, but the room was empty. He must have gone out the back way, Suga thought.
Hefting his broom over his shoulder, he walked to join the small green circle already formed on one side of the pitch.
"Do your best guys" He heard Oikawa say, "And don't let me down"
A murmur of "Yes, captain" rippled around the circle.
Suga laughed as he saw Makki and Mattsun hit each other with their bats.
When a whistle sounded, Suga kicked off the ground. He felt the familiar feeling of hovering in the air, watching the ground fade underneath him.

"Alright guys! Just because this is a practice game doesn't mean we are gonna slack off! So let's get out there and give it our best!" Daichi yelled trying to get his team in the mood.
Daichi was the captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team. It was hard being so positive but he made it work.
He surveyed his team. Iwaizumi, Kuroo, and Bokuto were standing off to the side. Bokuto was talking waving his hands in the air excitedly. Iwaizumi was passing the ball between his hands, like a nervous tick. Hinata, Nishinoya, and Tanaka were huddled together, shuffling back and forth.
