Somehow Suga found himself in the studio again. He found it strangely comforting, being alone. The only noise was the brush he was using scraping against a canvas.Reds, blues, and greens rippled against the canvas. Suga found himself going through an awful lot of red paint lately. It was as if his subconscious was trying to tell him something.
He sighed and leaned back, surveying his mornings work. A bright red tulip stood front and center, dew drops gleaming against the petals in the fading afternoon sun. He could almost smell the sweet aroma dripping from the painted flower.
Suga put down his brush and inspected his hands. A familiar dull ache spread through them, the first signs he was wearing himself out. Instinctively he ran a hand through his pale hair, unaware of the wet paint on them.
He looked up as he heard scratching at a nearby window. He stood up and opened it as a beautiful, tawny owl hopped in. Wiping the excess paint of his hands, he reached down and untied the small scroll attached to it's leg. With a small pat, the owl took off spreading it's wings in the bright morning air.
Suga tore his eyes away from the sky and back to the note in his hand. He didn't even have to read the name at the top, this writing was as familiar to him as his own.
I have no idea where you are but I hope this note finds you, the note read, I will kick your ass if you are painting again. Suga laughed at that, his voice echoing throughout the empty room. N.E.W.T.S are coming up soon and you're the smartest person I know. Library @ 7:30?
Suga read over Oikawa's note again, his mind shifting back to the past.
During their 5th year, Oikawa and Suga had dated for a little while. Oikawa was super cheesy, always sending him stupid little love notes. He hated bringing up the past but this note stirred up something inside him. Of course they had broken up, but Suga would always have a special place in his heart for Oikawa.
Not bothering to put his stuff away, Suga walked out of the studio. He wrapped his cloak a little tighter around himself. He should have put a sweater on this morning, why did it have to be so cold?
It was still a while until he had to meet Oikawa at the library so he was just wandering around the school. He wasn't really paying attention to where he was going until he found himself outside an empty classroom.
To anybody else it might have been just any classroom but to Suga it was different. This was the very first place he met Oikawa. Leaning against the wall he let his memories take him back.
It was his first year and Suga was a little bit lost. Well a little bit was an understatement, he was totally lost. He desperately wandered the halls looking for any familiar marks to tell him where he was.
He was just about to give up when he heard a hauntingly beautiful melody float its way down the hall. As if in a trance, Suga followed the music.
He stopped outside an empty classroom, the music swelled, as he peeked around the corner.
The sight almost took his breath away.
Sitting in the middle of the empty room was a boy, not much older than Suga himself. His brown hair glowed in the subtle moonlight shining in from a nearby window. His eyes were closed, fingers moving delicately, dancing between the strings. His other hand swiftly moved the bow across the strings of the cello, seated in between his legs.
As the song progressed, Suga found himself in a trance, unable to look away. The music now was barely a whisper. Captivated by the boy in front of him, Suga didn't realize he had dropped his books until they hit the ground.
