I had been in Volterra for over a month now, and it was starting to feel more and more like home everyday that  I was here. Throughout the past month I had finally learnt the full layout of the vast castle and city meaning I could venture out on my own without the company of Jane and Felix, although it was still quite common that Jane could be found by my side. Myself and Caius had become a lot closer also, he had now told me so many fascinating stories of battles with wolves and rouge covens, and in return I gave him stories about my old life, when it was only myself and Jasper, riding the deserts of the great plains.

My diet now consisted of only Human blood, the thought of drinking animal blood alone now made me want to vomit, my strength and power had grown due to this as well, meaning that now I could set a whole bedroom on fire with one thought if I was angry enough... and when you are courting the stubborn Volturi King that is Caius, that's bound to happen. I was currently sat staring at my phone as I pondered giving my beloved friend Meg a call. Her life in London must be going well and I missed her terribly so maybe I could convince Caius to go on a trip with me, just us to London and then he could meet her.

Deciding to go and ask him about the trip now and not later, I carefully step over the body on the floor before making my way out of the door and through the intricate web of corridors.  Seeing Bianca walk towards the throne room with a single piece of paper in hand, I stop moving to rest in the shadows out of sight as I listen to the conversation that was about to unfold. "Ah, It's from Carlisle, which is spelt with an 'S', sweet Bianca." Came Aro's velvet voice as I cringed at the fact that we would need a new assistant soon, "he's added a new member to his coven, Caius you must tell Blake, oh she will be delighted to hear the news." I heard him say as I tried not to react to the fact that Bella was now a vampire. "and I will dear brother, although it seems that he is increasing his power." came the husky, accented voice of Caius as I continued to eavesdrop on the conversation that concerned my family. Hearing Marcus' excited gasp I smile before my face turned to stone once more. Bianca's screams filled the halls of the palace as she was dragged away by Dimitri and Felix, allowing me to give her a wave and a smirk knowing that she would be dinner tonight. "first it's the spelling, then the grammar." Came Aro's voice once more as I turned back towards the open doors, shielding myself from view behind one of them, "At least our dispute with the Cullens is over." Marcus said as a smile grew on my face, maybe they could visit. "over?" Aro asked, oh no... "Mmm" Marcus said as if he was nodding, "goodness, no" and the smile was completely gone, "our dispute goes far beyond the fate of a mere human." I gulp as I lean against the wall trying to keep my reaction sand emotions in check. "and what might it be?" asked the love of my life as I placed a hand over my mouth to prevent any sound escaping, "why brother, I thought you understood. They have something I want, I have one of them... I need the others."

And with that I ran back to my room, leaving a burn on the floor where I had stood. It was time to act like I had not heard any of that and as Caius entered the room and told me the news of Bella's Vampirism, I smiled and hugged him before asking a single question.

"How do you feel about a trip, to London... I want you to meet one of my oldest friends."
