-Ember-

"Ouch! Spark get off me!" I hear a guy yell...wait I know that voice is that...Caleb? Did he just call me Spark? What happened?

Quickly I scramble off Caleb and look around. Oh no...no no no no no no no no!! I'm in Heaven! How did this happen?

The portals! We must of switched portals! I look around and it seems like I'm in a remarkable library and standing right in front of me is Caleb himself.

He pulls me into a hug. "How's your mom?" He asks. Quickly I relay the events to him while still trying to figure out how to get out of here.

He gives me an apologetic smile before a short elderly man comes up to us. I start to ask Caleb to send me back before the man starts talking.

"Princess Spark! You are safe!" He exclaims, embracing me...I try my hardest not to throw him against the wall.

"Um ya..." I mumble.

"Dalton." Caleb says. "Perhaps some water for Spark would be nice." The little man nods vigorously and runs out the door.

I watch him go before being spun into Caleb's arms. "I've missed you." He whispers. Staring into my eyes. "I love you so much Spark." He proclaims before melding out lips together. The kiss isn't demanding but it still sparks a fire inside of me. He pulls away and looks into my eyes, searching for love.

Then I punch him square in the face.

"Ow! Spark! Why!?" He yells, hurt spread across his face.

Oh god. I'm supposed to be Spark! I'm supposed to be nice, and clearly there is something going on between her and Caleb.

"I'm so sorry." I say putting on my most innocent voice. "I didn't mean to Caleb, I'm so sorry." Then for effect I cry, not a lot, I've never been capable of many tears but just enough to seem like Spark.

"Hey, hey, don't cry." He says sweetly. "It's ok. I just need to know something..." He looks me in the eyes. "Do you love me?"

I pause...he looks at me expectantly. Then the elderly man-Dalton-walks in with a glass of water. Saving me from answering that question.

Caleb leans in and whispers to me. "We will continue this later." I shudder at the thought.

"For the most honourable princess." Dalton says handing me the water. "May you rid this world of all those who are evil."

"Like Ember." Caleb whispers, so I can barely hear him. I choke on my water and start coughing uncontrollably.

"Careful Caleb!" Dalton screeches. "You're supposed to be protecting her, not killing her!" He turns to me. "Princess, your father wishes to see you."

Thankfully I have stopped coughing and smile weakly at Dalton. Caleb steps closer to me holding my shoulders and making sure I can still breathe.

"Come on. Let's go meet your dad." Caleb says. He leads me down a series of hallways all the same blinding white and gold.

Soon we arrive at a door labeled Archangel Michael. Suddenly my throat becomes dry, I'm about to meet an archangel and I need to pretend to be his daughter...oh this is going to be great, just great.

Caleb knocks three times and enters. We walk in and I sit in one of the chairs, Caleb however stands tall, proud, like a warrior. The office looks like any regular office but then I see the man standing by the wall size window.

He has black hair that is tied into a ponytail at the back of his neck, he's wearing a grey suit with a white tie. He stands over 6 feet tall, towering over Caleb.

"Spark." He says, his voice deep and sweet like honey. "You've grown up."

"Um...ya." I say, unsure where to go from here.

"Do you remember me?" He asks sounding slightly desperate.

"Um not really." I admit. Although I do remember him clearly, he is the man who abandoned me at the age of six making me the protector of our family.

"No matter." he says dismissively. "I'm here to ask you to help us." He pauses. "We need you to kill your sister."

I shoot up from my seat, "You what!?" I growl.

"Oh my..." Michael chuckles. "A bit of a fire you have there."

I collect myself, making sure I don't ruin Sparks reputation.

"Yes. We want you-no need you, to kill Ember." He finishes.

"Why?" I say trying to keep the malice from my voice.

"Well..." Michael starts. "We need you to be at your full power."

"I'm sorry. I'm not quite following you." I say.

"Allow me to explain." He continues. "When your mother had you and Ember. Theoretically you were supposed to be one child, one child with the combined powers of angels and demons, a hybrid of sorts." He looks at me. "Your powers were split down the middle, half to you and half to her. In order to be at your full power and be able to win this war for us, you need to kill your sister."

I stare at him blankly. "Why do I have to kill her? Why not another person say yourself for lack of better example."

"That is an excellent question. We believe it must be you because once she is deceased, her powers can only stay suspended in her body for a short period of time, if you are not within range of her at that time, then her powers will be lost forever."

I nod, still digesting the information. "Okay. I will think about it." With that I leave the office unexcused and ask Caleb to show me to my room.

We get to my door an I turn to Caleb. "Thanks for walking me." I go to open my door before I'm pushed up against it, by Caleb. "What the hel-heck!" I screech.

He kisses me urgently and fiercely. Pouring all his emotions into a single kiss. I pull away and resist the urge to punch him agin.

"Goodnight my love." He whispers then walks away leaving me alone.

I pull the door open and sprawl myself across the comfortable bed. Exhausted and completely unsure of what to do next.
