'I'll get you married'
When your mother had shouted those words loud you didn't expect her to mean it. You thought it was nothing more than a trick. And she was fooling you.
How you wish she did.
Here you were sitting in the kitchen. At the dinner table. Your hands holding the set as the food on your plate was still untouched cause you couldn't move much. You were spacing out. You were staring holes in the air. In front of you was sitting the man you had missed the most these past weeks.
Your Dad.
He was here after a while and you couldn't help but feel the happiness and joy run through your veins yet you never thought it would also freeze and turn into confusion and completion as soon as your eyes shifted to another male who sat directly next to him.
You were more than just speechless. You didn't know how to act, what to say and most importantly how to feel. Of course there were emotions you felt. But you didn't know how to process it at all. It was becoming relatively intense. Just like the air in the room. It was silent. Silent for too long.
Silence was winning.
And you hated it.
Oh how you loathed it when silence and tension mixed filled a room with people that you beloved. You were a person who couldn't hate much. Most of the things that hurt or made you feel anxious of course you didn't like them, but you could never bring out that you hated them. Except for one thing. Or two.
And that thing was happening right now.
Silence, Tension.
Your eyes land back and forth to the males. You couldn't help but still feel astonished. And it wasn't the time to state such a thing in such a situation where you wanted to bury yourself six feet under but the male that sat next to your dad.
Damn, was he gorgeous.
Yet you still wondered what is he doing here. But you already knew. You didn't need your parents to explain it to you. You didn't need their confirmation. It all was making sense. The statement of your mom, him showing up after it. It was sufficient for your head to explode with thoughts and you were jumping to conclusions fast.
And let me notify you one thing.
You weren't false at all.
Your conclusions we're highly right.
"So how is school? What are you doing nowadays?"
That's how your father's voice carried you to reality and out of your very deep sincere thoughts. Your eyes soil on him and you can't help but send him a smile as you move the fork on the pasta in front of you for the first time.
"School is going good dad"
Is it?
Maybe it was maybe not. But the second topic that concerned you a little bit.
How do you answer him that question?
What you did? Oh and how your parents don't wanna know at all what you did. Or what you're doing. You already crossed the lines in their kind of point of view. If they get to know what you're doing, you would die on a ditch. Well maybe mostly because of your mom. Your eyes go on your mom suddenly as she pops on your head she is there eating and pretending the spectacle in front of her wasn't happening.
You thought she would be happy clapping her hands like she always does and maybe even fangirling about the handsome male which your family had but she seemed too busy with food and her thoughts. She was an overthinker just like you. You shake it off and turn to your dad smiling.
