Luckily for Whitney, the wolf like creature that was now Paul was asleep on the other side of the room. Before Whitney was about to get the others out, she heard a small noise in front of her. "Psst." "Who's there?" Whitney whispered looking around seeing no one there. "It's Alyssa." she replied. "Where are you?" Whitney looked around again. "In front of you. You can't see me because I'm...well invisible! I saw you break out of your unit. How'd you do that?" she asked. "I don't know really. I just could feel what was wrong with the unit." Whitney shrugged. "There's something wrong with the units?" Alyssa asked. "There's a fault at the top of the glass wall that connects to the ceiling of this room. Hopefully every unit has the fault so I can show everyone how to get out of theirs." "But how are you going to get to past Paul? If he wakes up you're as good as dead." Alyssa asked. Whitney thought about it for a moment. "I don't know. Maybe if you distracted him and keep him occupied while I go around and help everyone else. After that maybe I can go talk some sense into Paul." "Why me?" Alyssa asked. "Because he can't see you! Also you and I both know that you are a very fast and agile little girl" Whitney hissed. "Again I know I'm short, but little ..." she mumbled. "Just do it please? If you get yourself into too much trouble call out for me," Whitney assured. Alyssa sighed. "Alright, I guess." Assuming Alyssa was gone, Whitney then proceeded to Kathryn's unit, which was right next to Whitney's. "I'm here to help y-"
"Yeah I know. I somehow heard you figuring out about the fault and where you found it. I tried looking but I don't know where it is!" Kathryn explained. Whitney placed her hand on the glass with more force than she thought and the glass shattered. "How in the world..." Kathryn exclaimed. Whitney looked down at her hand to see glass on her hand. She shook her hand yet no glass fell off. "What the ...?" Whitney asked. "What? Is the glass in your skin?" Kathryn asked. "No it's on my skin. It's stuck like a magnet..." Whitney pulled the glass off her hand. "What should I do to help?" Kathryn asked. "The only thing you should be concerned about is Paul. If you stay away from him you should be okay..." Whitney explained. "Yes I get that, but I want to help. We need to get everyone out together!" Kathryn replied. Whitney nodded. "You go help Lucia and I'll go get Morgen." Whitney said. "Okay." Kathryn nodded then left quietly. Whitney went over to Morgen's unit, making sure to stay out of Paul's sight. "Whitney!" Morgen whispered. "Hi. Hold on, I'll get you out." Whitney put her hand on the glass and broke out that side of the wall with ease. "Thank you!" she smiled. "Whoa..." Whitney looked at her back. "Yeah I know. I look like a freak." "Actually you look pretty cool." Whitney admitted. They both laughed quietly. Morgen looked at Whitney sadly. "Paul... What are we going to do with him? You and I know him better than anyone... What will we do?" Morgen teared up. "I don't know Morgen. I hope that change isn't permanent," Whitney said thinking about her goodbye. "We need to get out of here..." Morgen whispered. Meanwhile, Kathryn went over to Lucia's unit and tried to break her out. "I'm not sure how I can do this..." Kathryn said. "Try to shatter it with your mind. I-I've seen this somewhere in my head. I think that if you concentrate hard enough you'll be able to break it." Lucia said.
"I suppose it's worth a shot." Kathryn looked at the wall of the unit and thought of it shattering. She closed her eyes and concentrated long and hard. When she opened her eyes the whole unit had shattered. Kathryn smiled. "How'd you know that would work?" Kathryn asked. "I don't know. I just get these visions at random. The gas must have messed with my brain to allow me to see the future." Lucia replied. "I think it did the same to my brain, except I can read peoples mind a-and apparently move things with my mind." Kathryn concluded. "This is really freaky..." Meanwhile, Alyssa was only feet away from the monster that was Paul. "Distract him she says... Your invisible she says... It'll be easy, you think. What an idiot...!" she thought to herself. Alyssa picked up a shard of glass and held it in her hand tightly in case she needed a weapon.
