Alissa POV
My stomach was in knots, I couldn't think straight, being away from Dravin was making me go insane. Just having him in the room made me feel at ease and now that he's not here I feel like apart of me is missing. I decided to try and sleep, even though I knew I wouldn't be able to. I was worried about Dravin being away but I also was worried about Elu. Dravin seemed concerned when he was on the phone with Eyota even though he tried to put on a brave face for me. I couldn't get comfortable for anything, I kept tossing and turning. After about thirty minutes of not being able to relax, I decide to make a list of things that need to get done.

#1. choose baby names.
#2. guest list for wedding.
#3. dresses, suits.
#4. Decorate nursery.
#5. ????
I can't think straight right now.

There was a knock on the door interrupting my thoughts.
"Come in." I said. It was Thorne, he was probably checking on me since Dravin said he would.
"Hey, what's up?" I said with a smile.
"Hey, how you doing? Dravin wanted me to check in on you." He said in a low voice.
"I'm doing ok, I'm really worried about Elu, Dravin looked worried. Have you heard anything?" I sounded desperate to know anything. Maybe because I was.
"No, he hasn't called, I'm sure Elu's fine, he's a tough guy. He smiled reassuringly. Well I guess I should go, let me know if you need anything ok?" He starts to leave.
"Wait, would you mind staying with me until Dravin gets back? I don't like being alone." I smiled shyly.
"Are you sure? I'm not much company." He said. Looking at the floor.
"Yeah, it's ok, come sit down. Make yourself comfortable." I patted the spot next to me on the bed. He sat down next to me.
"Thanks for staying with me, I can't stop my mind from wandering around." I said.
"Sure." He didn't know what to say. It was quiet for a bit until he decided to break the awkwardness.
"When do you think my niece or nephew will be here?" He said with a smile.
"Well actually, we're having twins." I was honestly happy about it, just nervous.
"What?" His eyes were big with shock.
"Yeah, we found out when we went to go see Liliana."
"Wow, that's umm....." he couldn't find the right words.
"Crazy! I know." I laughed a little. He laughed.
"I'm happy you know, I never thought I'd have a chance at having siblings or a family after what happened and I certainly never thought I'd have any nieces or nephews, I didn't think it was possible." His crystal blue eyes showed genuine happiness. Which made me feel a lot better.
"I'm glad. Don't tell anyone because we haven't said anything yet. I want it to be a surprise. They'll see when the babies come." I smiled.
"You're secret is safe with me." He touched my shoulder.
"Thank you. Can I ask you something?" I said.
"Yeah sure." His blue eyes looked at me kindly.
"Well I don't really know much about you, and I'd like to get to know you better."
"What would you like to know?" He said turning towards me.
"If you don't mind me asking, what was your life like before you met Dravin?He only told me a little bit."
"Well let's see, I'm from Michigan, born on May 15th 1846, my parents were Amanda and Dean, I'm an only child."
"That's a start. I like this, us hanging out and stuff." I poked his leg.
"Me too."
"How did you become a vampire?" I asked hesitant about his answer. He looked sad at my question. He looked down playing with his ring.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to pry, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to." I said feeling stupid for asking him.
"No It's ok, it's just a painful memory for me. Her name was Simone. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen in my life. She had long silver hair and ice blue eyes. She wasn't from my town, just passing through as she called it. One day she saw me and everything changed."

FLASHBACK. The year was 1866

"Excuse me sir, do you know where I can find the blacksmith's shop?" The silver haired woman said in a southern accent. She was breathtaking. I've never seen someone as beautiful as her. I found her accent incredibly sweet.
