Dipper POV
He didn't stop me from leaving, he just let me go.
I ran to the living room for my things along with the Journal from behind the couch. With all my stuff in hand I walked out the door.
The sun was rising, I could feel it's warmth flood over my skin, with a deep breath I walked away from Bill's home, I kept myself from looking over my shoulder at it. If I did I don't know if I could really leave. I felt bad for leaving after he told me all that, But I am not Milo and I don't need his protection from my family.
Going back will be some trouble, I doubt Grunkle Ford will be in a good mood about me leaving. A shiver ran up my spine. I don't want to be locked in that house anymore.
With the second journal hidden in my bag and the first in my arms I walked quickly back to town, steering away from the shack. I don't think going back there first is a good idea, better to go to the town and find Wendy or Soos first.
"Didn't think I'd run into you this close to town."
I jumped back, the voice came before the person did.
"Caption- Caption LowSmith!" Stepping back I kept my arms tightly wound around the journal, my mind already replaying the path back to Bill cabin, I didn't want to go back yet but I don't know what will happen if Lowsmith gets a hold of me.
"Dipper relx. I'm not dragging you back." he sighed leaning against a tree.
I raised a brow at him. "I know about the search parties"
"Yeah? That's nice. All the other groups at the moment are relaxing, though they do plan to go back out in a few hours. So what's your plan? Where are you headed? What about that god, where is he?" He asked.
"I- he's still at his house, I left on my own to go into town." I didn't want to tell him everything, Not sure if he'll just turn and tell my grunkles.
"Really? Does he know you're gone?"
"Look, I don't know what you think but he didn't kidnap me and told me I could leave whenever I wanted to." I snapped.
"Easy boy, that's not what I meant, just curious. Wanna know each side of the story, it's my job. Your Grunkles are turning the town and forest upside down looking for you."
"They're going to regret that." I laughed thinking of how Bill will react, now that I'm out of his hair he can focus on his forest and his family.
"Yeah, I don't doubt that. That god friend of yours can get pretty nasty when he's mad."
"I heard." I ummed nodding, "It's all anyone would tell when I got here."
"I'd bet top dollar it had something to do with that book you got there." he pointed to Bill's jurnal I still had pressed to my chest.
"Yes, this is what started all of it." I agreed, tightening my grip.
"Ah I remember, the missing journal, so that was you." Lowsmith laughed. "You were what 10?"
"12 actually, and it was my sister who grabbed the journal, I didn't even know where she got it from." I explained.
Lowsmith nodded, "Sounds like Mabel."
"I hope you don't mind but I would like to get going now." I tried taking a step to the side to try to get around him without being in arms reach.
"You going to meet someone?" He asked.
"Why do you want to know?" I shot back.
"I'm on a search team looking for you, knowing where you are is the whole goal."
