Enemy Lines-JJ

Saige headed inside to get ready and Sarah went back to her house to do the same. She could hardly contain her excitement knowing she was getting another chance to hang with the Pogues, but she was mostly excited to see JJ again. When Sarah told her that JJ had asked about her nonstop it made her heart jump.

But then, she remembered... she already had a boyfriend. Someone she loved very much.. right?

She quickly put on her outfit, ran downstairs to tell her parents that she was going to hang out with Sarah and would be home late so they didn't need to wait, then ran over to Sarah's house.

She was met outside by Rafe who was sitting on the front porch. He looked amazing in the sunlight. When Rafe saw her, he gave her a big smile and got up from his seat.

"Hey, baby girl." He greeted her and kissed her lips. She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him harder. He had the most amazing mouth.

"Hey babe! Did Sarah tell you we're hanging out tonight?" She asked him happily.

"Yeah, she did," he said back, "and that makes me so happy. But, promise me you'll go on a date with me soon? Maybe tomorrow?" He asked her hopefully.

"Yeah sure, I'd like that." She smiled at him, but deep down she knew it meant she couldn't hang out with the Pogues tomorrow and it made her a little sad.

"You ready?" Sarah asked, walking out onto the porch and dressed up cute. She could totally get John B if she wanted to.

"Yep! Bye, Rafe, I'll see you tomorrow. I love you."

"I love you too." Rafe said back, lighting smacking her on the ass which made her laugh and wink at him. Sarah let out an overdramatic gag before they both got in the car and drove away.

"So, this question has been burning a hole in my brain since you talked about it earlier...how in the hell did you start talking to Kiara again?" Saige still couldn't believe it, Sarah and Kiara hate each other, emphasis on the 'hate' part.

"Well, ever since I started seeing John B more that obviously meant I'd be hanging around the Pogues. The guys stranded the two of us out on a boat for us to reconcile our differences or whatever, and it actually helped. We're pretty cool now. The real question is, why did Kiara say JJ has been talking about you? What is going on there?"

"Nothing! I have no clue why he would be talking about me, we didn't even talk that much yesterday. Honest."

"Yeah right, whatever. I wouldn't blame you for wanting him, my brother is a douche and you can do way better." Sarah said back as she pulled up to John B's.

'You know it' Saige thought in her head.

They got out of the car, it was 3pm and blazing hot outside. The guys and Kiara were all lounging around inside the house when the two girls walked in.

"John B!" Sarah squealed and ran up to the tall guy, jumping on him and hugging him tight. Saige had never seen her friend that happy, not even with Topper.

"Saige!" Pope squealed, mocking Sarah which earned him an eye roll from her. He ran up to Saige and wrapped her up into his arms, picking her up off the floor. Pope was the one that she had been talking to the most, he was so kind. JJ looked at the two with an almost jealous look in her eyes.

"What are we gonna do today?" Sarah asked after John B and Pope put her and Saige down. Saige went to sit in the empty spot by JJ and he smiled at her.

"No clue, what do you guys what to do?" John B asked.

"Dude, I just want to get high as a kite," JJ replied before looking over at Saige, "you ever smoked before?"

"Nope." She said back. Weed was never something she'd been interested in, she really didn't drink much either.

"Well, then, now is your time! Here you go." JJ put the blunt up to Saige's lips before Kiara came and smacked it out of his hand.

"JJ, quit! Don't corrupt the poor girl." She said.

"Corrupt? What do you mean? I'm just letting the Kook live a little bit."

"Don't call me that," Saige said in an annoyed tone, "I don't want to be associated with that term."

JJ laughed. "Don't want to be associated with it? And, yet, you're dating Rafe Cameron, the most prominent Kook of them all."

"Shut up and leave the girl alone, JJ, damn. Get your panties out of a wad." Pope stood up for Saige. She knew she liked him for a reason.

But as kind as it was for him to stick up for her, JJ's words stung a little. There was more to her than the fact she was dating Rafe, but JJ obviously couldn't look past that. Maybe he wasn't as special as she thought. She refused to look at him while the others talked about life.

Saige felt her phone buzz in her pocket; it was a text from from Rafe.

"How's it going, beautiful? Miss me yet?"

No.

"Yeah, miss you tons. Cant wait to see you tomorrow" She replied with a heart emoji.

"Oh, look, texting the little princess I see." JJ taunted, he had obviously been looking at Saige's phone.

"What the hell is your problem? Leave me alone." Saige fought back. She was getting tired of the way he was treating her, it came out of nowhere and everyone had been having fun.

"Yeah, JJ, chill out." Kiara added.

"What's he want? Does he want his little Kook princess to come over and give him a nice sloppy one?"

"JJ, shut up! You're just jealous that you're not getting any!" John B yelled.

"Yeah, right, the day I get with a Kook is the day I die."

"I'm ready to leave." Saige said, looking down at her feet. Apparently she's not as welcomed as she thought.

"Hey, why don't I drive you home?"Kiara offered.

"You can't, Rafe only thinks I'm with Sarah. He'd kill me if he knew where I was." This made JJ scoff and everybody glared at him.

"Rafe said he was hanging out with Topper tonight, you should be alright." Sarah said with a slight smile. Saige agreed to let Kiara drive her so they got in the car and left.

"Shit, Saige, I'm so sorry. I don't know what got into him, he never acts that way-"

"It's fine, Kiara," she cut her friend off, "he doesn't like me, but that's okay. Maybe I'm not meant to hang around the Pogues like I thought I was."

"No! Just give him some time to open up. This could be a really good thing if he's just around you more to see the kind of person you are. I swear it'll be alright."

Saige said. "Okay, if you say so."

Little did she know that JJ couldn't get her off his mind. He wanted her but knew he could never have her.
