"Good morning, beautiful." Rafe smiled at Saige. She was frozen in place and couldn't speak.
"Um, I, uh-"
"Rafe got here a couple minutes ago and said he's having a rough time so we thought he could use some time spent with you. Come sit, Saige." Her dad said.
She looked at her brother who looked like he could die laughing any minute. He loved Rafe and was pissed when Saige broke up with him and said he wouldn't be hanging around the house anymore. She reluctantly walked over to sit in the only empty chair which was, of course, next to Rafe.
"How are you?" He asked.
"I am amazing. Living my best life, actually. How are you?" She replied. She wanted to try making Rafe feel as terrible as possible.
"I've been living my worst life, so I came to see you." He said back.
"Sounds like a personal problem." Saige said in a sassy tone.
"Saige! Watch your language!" Her mother scolded her, "You two go to your room and have a talk up there. Quit being a brat and listen to what Rafe has to say, damn it."
Saige looked at her mom and couldn't believe what she said.
"Honey that wasn't necessary, Saige just woke up. Give her some time." Her dad tried to reason with her mom. He tended to be the one Saige was closest to and had to break up fights between them often.
"Just do what I asked, Saige. Please." Her mom said. Saige could see how she was already tired of the situation.
"Let's go, it's gonna be alright." Rafe 'comforted' Saige. She knew he was just putting on a facade for her parents like he always did, but she still walked with him to her room so her mom would just shut up for once.
"Are you done with your little crisis you've got going on? This shit is getting tiring, even your parents are tired of it. Get back with me already." Rafe said right when Saige closed the door. She rolled her eyes.
"Rafe I don't know how else to make it clear to you, we are never going to be a couple again. We are through. Can you please leave now?"
"No, I'm not leaving until you get back with me." He replied.
"Fine then, I'll leave." She said back. She hurried out of the door before Rafe could stop her and ran to her car, she was still in her pajamas but she had to get away. She drove away, but Rafe had no intention of following her. Instead, he wanted to go find the person who wrote the letter he saw taped to her mirror after she left... He had an idea of who it was.

JJ had just gotten off work and Saige was on his mind the whole time. He was so distracted that he almost got fired for not doing his job.. twice. She just had that affect on him, everything about her made him feel some type of way. He couldn't explain it.
"Look who it is! My favorite Pogue. How ya doin', bud?" He heard from behind him, he turned around to see.. Rafe.
"Rafe! My man, what's up?" If there was one thing JJ didn't like to do, it was show fear... even though his insides were churning.
"I'm good, I'm good. Hey, I was wondering if you've talked to Saige recently. She's been kinda messed up lately." Rafe asked in a taunting voice, even though he knew the answer. JJ knew that he knew, too.
"Nah, not recently. Not since you ran away like a baby after the kegger."
"Look here, asshole," Rafe said and got right up into JJ's face, "stay away from her. I don't know what shit you've done to get in her head but you don't deserve her. You're gonna screw this girl up."
