The air was finally cooler. The day faded as the clock hit the first hour of the evening. We were currently waiting for the meal we had ordered few minutes ago at one of the restaurants that Samantha family owns."Jason!" Damien said, looking towards the direction behind me. "Man, I didn't know you were here." He stood and walked towards the empty aisle beside me and held out his hand.
I turned and found Jason Smith. His features were striking as ever. His eyes deep in his sockets with the beautiful color of jade in his iris. The inferior part of his raven hair was sleeked and pushed back behind his ears; the dominant part, slightly puffed as small strands of hair fell just above his bushy eyebrows.
That's Smith for you, charming and neat. Everyone adored him.
"Understandable. You don't have to memorize every single guest." he said with his deep voice and chuckled. He accepted the hand of Damien and they made a quick hug.
"Kimberly and Samantha." He said, nodding with a lip-sealed smile, now acknowledging us with that gorgeous face. I smiled back with just a tad of flirt.
Samantha and I used to gossip about Jason Smith a lot. Always took notice of his attractiveness every time he passed by on school grounds. He's undeniably someone who wouldn't go unnoticed.
I wanted to say that we had been together once before. But I refuse to as it was just something that was designed by my fantasies. I mean look at this sexy, handsome, dignified man—he's everything my principled self could ever ask for.
Though because I am not so much of that, it just assures me that I would truly never have that one of a kind.
Maybe once or twice, I have screwed with men who were easy. But never with this well-mannered gentleman.
How could I? I am almost too caught up with my studies. I barely have time for relationships. I never needed one anyway. What's the point? There's nothing fun about having someone to kiss all day and have sex with every night; unless I am a really horny person, which I am not.
I don't have big much of problems to desperately crave for somebody who would love my attention.
"So, how are you guys holding up?" Jason asked.
"It's been a fantastic day, I must say—," Damien started. But Samantha jumped wanted to jump in.
"Well, Kimmy here would be receiving such great recognition from her, long-time icon, Mr. Hermant. She recently received a list of offers from Harvard, Princeton and other well-known college universities." Samantha said who's obviously enjoying exposing such remarks.
I personally am a little uncomfortable saying all my accomplishements out loud. Sam probably knew, that's why she took the honor of broadcasting the unspoken achievements that she and Damien always told me, I should be proud about. It's always been like this. I hated arrogance. It felt wrong to brag. But yes, I am proud, just not the obnoxious proud.
Jason had this amused look on his face, he opened his mouth to speak but Samantha had cut him off, "Not only that, Anton Gutuerez, secretariat of United Nations, would very much gave her a trophie for being the youngest to give welfare towards children and needing families. Isn't she awesome?"
I chuckled, "That's enough, Sammy."
Jason just laughed, a deep appealing laugh, "Why yes I have heard tremendous things about you, Kimberly. The list goes on, I am certain. I probably shouldn't mention it... but I originally came here to congratulate you. I always knew you'd have that brilliant mind of yours accustomed for those type of causes. You are, in fact, a head-strong, kindhearted young lady as I've known you."
