Prologue

"Diba sinabi ko naman kase sayo noon pa na sumama ka nalang sa London? Mas maganda ang buhay na naghihintay sa'yo don Kyla!"

Pagbubulyaw sakin ni Henrik habang ako nakatingin lang sa bintana ng kotse habang siya ay nagddrive.
Alam ko na kung saan nanaman patungo ang usapang ito. Napagalitan na ako ng lahat, pati ng sarili ko. I don't even need to hear more,it's annoying.

"And now ,look at you! You wasted your college degree! you wasted your job! and most of all-"

he stopped and gripped at the steering wheel like it's gonna break , I can sense that he's controlling his anger.

"you wasted your life Kailani." He said more calmly before looking at me.

"Are you even listening?!"
He shouted again when he noticed that I am not even paying attention to what he's saying a while ago pa, I sighed.

"Let's stop over muna sa madadanaan nating jollibee. Nagugutom nako" I smiled at him .

"tss, you're unbelievable" he rolled his eyes and looked down on my tummy before he continued driving, all eyes on the road.

My phone rang, I knew Jeolliana would call me after our fight last night. I knew that she would feel guilty about what she said, and I knew she didn't meant it.

I am not a kind of person who'll instill grudges because we fought over small things. I mean we are best friends, and no one can buwag us. I was ready to answer her call and to talk about what happened when I saw the caller I.D

I stopped , shocked and felt a lil' bit nervous.

"Who's calling?" The jerk beside me asked , but I didn't told him. I put my phone back to my pouch when it rang again. I panicked

"Sino ba yan? Sagutin mo na kase! It's not like na maniningil yan ng utang mo!" He chuckled but I glared at him, making him fake his cough

I sighed heavily and end the call. I looked at Henrik who's driving and keep on glancing at my side.

"What?" I said sa mataray na boses, it didn't affect him, he just rolled his eyes and murmured something I couldn't hear and focused on driving again.

My phone kept ringing multiple times until the person who is calling got tired ba siguro. Mabuti naman , parang awa niya na ,mas mahihirapan ako kung magkikita or magkakausap pa kami

I fixed my seat and plug in my airpods so I can relax when my phone rang again. Dahil sa inis, sinagot ko na toh

"Ano ba!?" Pagsinghal ko ,ramdam ko ang kabog ng dibdib ko

"uy, Kyla. Galit ka padin ba? Sorry na"

napabuga ako sa hangin ng marinig ang boses ni Jeolliana sa kabilang linya at hindi ang boses ng taong kanina pa'y tumatawag.

"Ano?uy galit ka paren? Sorry na, punta ako sa condo mo mamaya, dadalhan kita ng comfort food mo a? I love you Kyla, wag kana magalit huhu"

She faked her sobs, that made me laugh

"Corny mo ulol" I said na nagpatigil sa pagpepeke niya ng iyak

"U-ulol? Di kana galit? B-bati na tayo?talaga?!" Pagsigaw niya kaya inalis ko ang isang airpods sa tenga , peste tong babaeng to

"Wala ng bawian Kyla a! Wag kang talkshit! Minura mo na ako, bati na tayo-" she continued talking and talking blablabla

"Oo na!dalhan moko ng carbonara ha! Ayoko ng may cheese!" Sabi ko sakanya

"A-ayaw mo ng cheese? E diba favorite mo yon noon" pahina ng pahina ang boses niya sa mga huling salita "oo na ,sige walang cheese. I'll hang up na a? I'll cook pa, love you !ingat!" Then the music continued
