Chapter 3: Nightmares and Clues

I woke up to blackness surrounding me and the floor felt hard and warm to the touch, I sniffed the air trying to find a way out but all I smelled was blandness. "Hello?" I shouted my voice echo off the blackness, "is anyone out there?" I answered again seeing if I would get a response. After a few moments of no response I took cautious steps looking around for any sort of trap or ambush. As I knew everything was clear I went at a faster pace but kept my guard up, "HAHAHAHAHA" I looked around for the source but found none. I kept walking my senses on full alert, "HAHAHAHAHA" it sounded from all around me this time so I started to run not caring about anything but getting as far away as possible.

I slowed to a halt catching my breath and looking around but only found out tat the same blackness was still all around me. I continued further but stopped when a scene popped up.

The scenery was at the Watering Hole and a adult lioness was sitting there all alone. "Hey Tiifu" a recognizable voice said. Tiifu turned her head and a adult male lion with a bright red mane cane into view. "Hey Kion" Tiifu said smiling sweetly making room for Kion to sit next to her. "What did you want to talk about?" Tiifu asked with a confused look on her face. "I just want to tell you that I l-"

I covered my ears and eyes and tried to block out the scene, when I opened my eyes I saw that the scene had disappeared. I brushed away a few tears that escaped my eyes, "is that a vision or just a nightmare?" I said to myself. Before I could leave a new scene popped up and on it was the Guard, the King and Queen, and the lionesses. I noticed that they were all dead except 2 animals, me. And Kion... the scene started to play.

"Kion you need to live please" I said looming over a bloody and scratched up Kion, "it's alright Fuli I'm going to a better place-" Kion stopped mid sentence to look away and cough up blood. "No you need to live. For the Pridelands. For me" I said and started to cry and hug Kion close to me. "Fuli. I will always with you. In here" Kion said pointing to my forhead, "and here" Kion then pointed to my chest. "I need you to take care of the Pridelands while I'm gone and make sure you keep Kiara and Kovu safe" Kion said smiling a weak smile. "I'm scared Kion. I'm scared to lose you" I said looking straight into his eyes, "I'll always be here and in your dreams" Kion said.

"I won't break that promise because I love you Fuli" Kion said and licked lips with me, I kissed back and we stayed there for a few seconds before Kion went into permanent sleep. "I love you too Kion" I said and sobbed more into his chest crying every ounce of tear into that crying fit. "He's in a good place now Fuli" Kiara said putting a paw onto my shoulder and gave me a friendly smile. "I guess. I'm just gonna miss him" I said.

The scene ended and I was left awestruck not moving a muscle "is that the future or my imagination?" I said as I felt my legs feel like jelly and I fell to the ground. I felt hot tears trickle out of my eyes as that scene from earlier played back over and over again. As I was laying there I felt the ground get hotter, so hot I saw fire emit from the ground and got bigger and bigger. I immediately got up and looked around only to hear a loud cackle and I looked up and saw a full grown Tiger with a eagle standing beside him. Both with victorious smiles, they were standing on the ledge of Priderock that over looked the Pridelands.

       "Isn't it just a wonderful sight to see all the destruction Tai?" The Tiger said to the Eagle, "yes it is Master" Tai said looking up at him. "What land do you want to conquer and make our territory? Now that I think about it I just don't want to take over one territory. I want to have world domination" the Tiger said with a sneer showing some of his mostly yellow teeth. "I like it" Tai said with a smile and set off to the air to find more land to take over, "today is the day the carnivorous animals take over the world" the Tiger said.

       The scene faded to black and I was contemplating on what just happened, "why am I being shown all of these things?" I asked sitting down with my thinking face on. "Are these all visions? Or are some of these gonna become real? I need to stop all of this from happening. Kion and Tiifu, Kion's... Death. And the Tigers world domination" I said and I started to come up with a plan.
