I: SOMEONE BETTER

Chaeyoung's POV

"Isn't she so hot?"

"PLEASE SLAM ME ON THE WALL."

"IF I GET PUNCHED BY HER, I WILL BE VERY HONORED."

I can hear all these girls gossiping about me while I was walking through the hallway. I mean, who wouldn't?

I'm Son Chaeyoung, 18, a grade 11 student. Not to brag, but I'm most of the girls here in our school's girl crush... these ugly boys could never pfft.

I sat in my seat near the windows. Another boring day here at school. I put my headphones on and rested my head in my desk. I closed my eyes then someone removed my headphones.

"You literally woke up just to sleep here in school." Jeongyeon sat beside me.

"Who wants to listen with all thwords they're saying? Their voices make me sleepy." I said then faked my yawn.

Jeongyeon is my closest friend. She's like a brother to me. Well, I'd call her hyung because she acts like she's older than me and her parents also thought that she's a boy before they knew it in an ultrasound. Also, she has a girlfriend named Im Nayeon, but she's in different class.

Speaking of Nayeon...

"Jeongiiiieee~" Nayeon called Jeongyeon. She's standing in the doorway together with her friend, Myoui Mina.

Myoui Mina is also our friend, but we're not that close. She has a boyfriend named Jackson and they're super annoying. They're literally like... everywhere! You'll see them in the cafeteria, clinging to each other. In the school yard, still clinging to each other. Sometimes, in the hallway, they're kissing. If you want to make out, get a room because it's fucking annoying. But these days, I don't see them doing PDA. Well, I don't care tho.

And yeah, speaking of PDA, Jeongyeon kissed Nayeon right in the doorway. If they're not my friend, I already punched Jeongyeon for being so cringe.

"Eeewww. Kissing right in front of so many people? That's cringe, hyung!" I said as Jeongyeon sat beside me.

"Yah. You're just jealous because you don't have a girlfriend."

"Whatever. I don't need a girlfriend." I rolled my eyes.

"Yah. I'm going to my locker first, I forgot my neck pillow."

"Seriously?" Jeongyeon gave me a confused look. I stood up and made my way to the lockers.

There are only a few students left here in the hallways since it's almost time, but these two students near my locker kinda don't care. I walked closer to see who's it, but I guess they didn't notice me and I saw Mina and Jackson talking. Seriously? The two of them, again?

"Jackson, we're over. Stop it." Oh... that's good, no more PDA.

"Yeah, but I didn't agreed on breaking up with you." Jackson came closer to her.

"Stop it, okay? You literally just cheated on me. What do you expect? I'll just forgive you?" I can hear Mina's voice trembling. I think she's nearly crying, but I can't see it because I can only see her back figure.

"Mina, I was drunk. I'm sorry about that."

"Drunk or not, you still cheated on me."

"Fine..." Jackson straightened his posture.

"I swear you'll never find someone who's better than me." He continued.

"She already did." I butted in and walked closer to them.

"What are you talking about? You-"

"Me. She found someone better than you and it's me." I stood beside Mina.

"Let's go." I grabbed her hands and walked her to their classroom. Good thing they're not in the same class.

We stopped at the doorway of their classroom and the door is already close. She's looking down and I can see tears streaming down her face.

"Hey, don't cry. I already saved you from him." I said and wiped her tears.

"Thank you."

"Yeah. Go to your class now." I said then she opened the door and entered their class.

I don't like her, okay? I just did that because I really hate it someone cheats on someone. I never experienced being cheated, but my dad did. My mom cheated on him with dad's bestfriend when I was just 5 years old. Shameless, right?

I made my way back to the lockers to get my neck pillow and may my way back to our classroom.

"What took you so long?" Jeongyeon asked as I sat beside her.

"Nothing, two lovers just interrupted my way to the lockers." I said then I closed my eyes and started to sleep.

[Lunchtime]

Me and hyung is now walking to the cafeteria to have our lunch. Me and hyung are eating lunch together with our other friends.

"Jeongyeon! Chae! Here!" Jihyo waved. We made our way to their table.

"Where's Nayeon?" Hyung asked.

"Missed me already?" Nayeon kissed Jeongyeon who's beside me.

"Yah. Seriously? When would you stop flirting?"

"You're just jealous." I just rolled my eyes at Nayeon.

Well, if you don't know, all of them are gays except Jihyo. She's single, well, same as me, but she has a crush on a boy named Kang Daniel. Too bad Jihyo don't have any chance with him because he already have a boyfriend named Ong Seongwu, who's also in the same class as his. I rolled my eyes at these gays who's flirting right in front and beside me except Dahyun and Momo. They've been together for almost a year now, but they kept it lowkey. They're not flirting everywhere, unlike Mina and Jackson lmao.

"By the way, Mina said she'll eat with us." Nayeon blurted out.

"I heard she broke up with Jackson. Is it true?" Dahyun asked.

"Yeah. She found out that Jackson cheated on her." Nayeon answered.

"She did the right thing tho." Sana said.

"Oh, there she is. Yah! Minari!" Nayeon waved her hand.

Mina made her way to our table.

"Hi, guys." Mina smiled at them and they smiled back.

"Sit there beside Chaeyoung." Jihyo pointed the space beside me.

Mina sat beside me and gave an awkward smile, I smiled back at her.

All of them are close with Mina. Well, we already talked a few times, but we're not that close compared to other girls because we're not in the same club. All of them are in Dancing Club while I'm in the Arts Club. Well, I'm also good at dancing, but I love arts more than dancing.

"So, what are we going to eat?" Mina asked.

"Jokbal!" Momo shouted.

"Seriously, Momo? That was our lunch yesterday." Tzuyu complained, Momo frowned.

"What about Bibimbap?" I suggested.

"That would be nice. Let's go." Nayeon stood up so me, Jeongyeon, and Mina stood up too.

The four of us ordered our foods first. The five of them stayed in the table and waited for us to get our foods to guard our table, just like what we do everyday.

3rd Person POV

After the four of them ordered their foods, Jihyo and others ordered their foods, too and they ate their lunch.
