I am the purest heart
Above the altar of materialistic minds
On the ocean of divine knowledge that sustains everything.I am the brightest mind
Above the altar of struggles
On the bed of riches and power
That gives me a strong foundation.I am the most humble
The heap of knowledge
That I guard with my life
For the sake of God.I am the proudest man
The heap of happiness
That I guard with my legacy
For the sake of my remembrance and family.I am the sacred heart
That doesnt indulge in filthy affairs
Away from lust
Belonging to the Divine pleasure!I am the epitome of charm
The passion of many men and women
Can take my lover to the zenith of sexual pleasure
That makes me a Venusian Beauty!I am both, the fire and water,
The snake that causes the storm, the snake that sustains the universe
I am the lightning, I am the serene ocean
I am Poorva Bhadrapada, tasting the boundaries and breaking the fakeness to reach the truth!____________________________________
To all my readers out there, in Vedic astrology, there are four Nakshatras that Mahadev owns– Ardra, Moola, Poorva Bhadrapada and Uttara Bhadrapada.
The poem here is presents a poetic description of the Nakshatra Poorva Bhadrapada(though the last Stanza has references to Uttara Bhadrapada too), which is about both materialistic life and divinity, or in a simpler way spiritualism.
It is about enjoying the material pleasures, collecting them, and at last, gaining the knowledge that It is All Temporary in this Material Plane, whence, one is ready to burn all those into ashes, transform the self. The knowledge gained here is through extreme trials and errors and transformative experiences, through questioning and believing. The knowledge gained here, is sustained by the other Bhadrapada of the pair, that is, Uttara Bhadrapada, which signifies the patience and diligence needed to preserve the learned knowledge.
