Vishwā

Walking with a stick, a chhatri over her head
The sun trying to get a peek of the female Saint
The great Vishwā walked over the rubble and dust.

She had been the greatest one among her kin
Always thinking of merging
With the void, with her Shiva
Away from the materialistic world.

Alas, the cloth she draped herself in
The chhatri she used, the road she walked on
The body she used as a vessel
The feelings that she felt when she looked at the azure, purple sky
Was all a web of this world.

She was above love, why, humans were a laughing stock
A man and woman's love nonexistent
The couples a lustful personification
Because conjugal love doesn't exist

All because, of one heartbreak? A lost boy who loved you, yes, but gave you up for a freak?
So intense, was it, Vishwā, that you forgot
What the Shivalingam is?
I wonder, and it is 11:11, how sweet your world was
And only to teach you a lesson
O, my Bharani, why should I not understand you?

If blood didn't decide sisterhood
I should have made you my own blood
But I wonder what we are, what we were, what we can be
Bro! Tears are not enough
To say how I felt
When you decided to shed your vermillion hues
And wear the brightest gown
That a little girl would
In love with the idea of love

Reminiscing the old, lovable days
With someone special
Who broke your heart
And thus you gave up love?

Why, why vishwā? Is love so filthy?
No, and when you finally realised it
I was happy, or maybe in bliss!
I have, finally, got my Vishnu
If I am Shiva
And if I am Vishnu
You are my Shiva!

Love has pain, but love has Amrit too!
And thus we drink it, dive in it, bathe in it..

One day, we will meet
And share our stories....
