My suitcase, zipped. My room empty, and my head held high, I walked out of the house with pride, and towards my car. After telling Evan, I felt like the whole world was lifted off my shoulders, and nothing could bring me down.
Shoving my suitcases into my car boot, I got into the drivers seat, and didn't even hesitate before driving away. Opening the windows, I put on my sunglasses, and took in the last experience I would have of sunny weather. Probably the only thing I would miss.
Jumping out the car, I hang all my bags over my shoulders, and wheel the suitcases up to the doors. Now or never, I thought. Don't hold back, or escape back to the life you know, be brave, reckless, and not let anyones expectations of you get in the way of what you want.

I step off the plane into the cold British air. The fault in this plan was that in australia it was summer, however in Britain, it was mid winter. Dan had no clue I was here, which made this journey so much more exiting.
After collecting my bags from baggage claim, I shoved on one of the coats I packed, cautious of the weather.
There was already a taxi waiting outside, so I jumped right in, and directed them to my house. My home. Once we pulled up, I noticed a difference. The curtains were shut, and the grass was at least up to my ankles. A piece of paper blew in the breeze on the door.
Walking closer, I read it.
'SOLD' My heart dropped as the realisation of my problem hit me. Technically, I was currently homeless. I had no home of my own, where the hell was all my stuff? Walking away, I begin to walk down the street, and to a place I hadn't been for a good few years.
Knocking on the same old wooden door, I hear footsteps race down to the door, before it being swung open. Ruby's eyes nearly popped out of her head as she stood in shock at the door.
"Who is it Ru?" My mums smooth voice echoed to the door, as Ruby jumped into my arms and hugged me with all her might.
Hugging her back, I smiled into her hair. Mum walked into the living room, wiping her hands with an old tea towel. Her face matched Ruby's first reaction, as she dropped the tea towel to the floor.
"Erin!" She squealed, running over to me, and wrapping her arms around my neck.
"Hey mummy" I laughed, still standing outside the door.
"Oh I'm sorry, come in baby, come in!" She smiled, closing the door after me. The house was still the same. Warm, comforting, and slightly messy.
"W-Why are you here? In the least rude way possible" She laughed, walking into the kitchen and switching the kettle on.
"Well, the realisation hit me that I'm only 23, and I'm working full-time with a massive co-operation. And despite how amazing that is... I didn't feel like I really lived my life properly" I explain in a nutshell.
"Well good for you sweet-pea!" Mum yells over the loud sound of the kettle boiling.
"So where's dad and Iona?" I ask.
"Dad's just gone to Asda and Iona's at her house" Ruby explained. "She got a small flat on Saxon. So her and Kylie are living there at the moment" Ruby smiled.
"So your all alone?" I laugh. Ruby just scowls at me, and hits me on the arm. Mum comes stalking back in with a hot cup of tea, milky with 1 sugar, accompanied with 2 custard creams... just how I like it.
Taking a sip, I let the liquid soothe my worrying heart. My home tea will never equate to any other tea... ever.
"So... what are your plans?" Mum asks, blowing on her scolding tea. Sighing... I shrug, taking another relaxing sip.
