My eyes parted and the light draining in from the windows was bright, like it was everyday. I swing my legs over the side of my bed, and rub the lingering sleepy feeling in my eyes. Today was Sunday, so it was my day off whereas I still had to get things done.

I had to get my hair done and ask Noah if he wanted that lunch still. Picking up my phone, I text Noah before setting it on my docking station letting 1,2,3,4 by Plain White Tee's play through the speakers.

Swinging my wardrobe doors open, I pull out my floral skater skirt, white flowy crop top. I lay them on my bed, before hopping into the shower, and singing along to the music with the shampoo bottle. When I had finished in the shower, I wrapped myself in my towel robe, and sat down to do my makeup.

I put on some brown smokey eyeshadow, and a light pink lipgloss, before climbing into my chosen outfit. My hair was still damp, but because I was going to the hairdressers, I couldnt do anything with it. Looking in the mirror, I looked particularly nice. I couldn't tell if I was just feeling like I wanted to look nice... or impress noah? I couldn't tell. But I had Dan, I had to keep reminding myself I had him.

Surely I shouldn't have to keep telling myself I had Dan, if I loved him enough? Surely if he was my one and only, then I wouldn't have to keep reminding myself I had a boyfriend? I was confused, but I just wanted to take things as they came.

Everything right now is overwhelming, I haven't seen Dan in 6 months, and I miss him like crazy, but why was it that as soon as I think about another guy, remembering Dan becomes a challenge?

My phone vibrates on the docking station and a text from Noah pops up.

Sounds great :) I'll meet you at the little Italian on Fall Street at 1 ;)

I smile at the text, and put my phone and purse into my handbag, before slipping on some brown gladiator sandals, and shutting the door behind me.

Walking out of the hairdressers, my hair felt light and soft as it rested on my shoulders, as the warm breeze flowed from the roots to the tips. I had dyed my hair lighter, and got all my roots redone, so now my hair was a light blonde all over.

The hair dressers wasn't far from the Italian, so as I walked out onto the street, I begun my short journey to the restuarant. The sun was shining, and a light breeze ran throught the streets of Byron Bay.

My spirits are high, and a smile spread across my face as I saw Noah sat outside the restuarant, his dark brown hair blowing softly in the breeze, as his big white smile shone through his soft lips. There was no lying that he was a breath taking human being, but Dan was as well. I didn't know what to think.

Noah stood up, and surprised me by enveloping me in a warm hug, before pulling my seat out for me to sit on.

After that we talked for about 3 hours, devouring a whole pizza and a tirumasu, in the process. It felt good to just get away from work, everything was building up and to just sit and have a laugh was great.

"I really enjoyed today" Noah smiled. As he slung his arm over my shoulder, whilst walking back to his place.

"It was fun, good to just get away from work and stuff" I breathe. Me and Noah had bonded quickly together over lunch and it was great just to have someone to talk to, other than my work collegues, and Jess.

"I hear you" He chuckles. We arrive at his front door and step into his house. It was unfurnished, and there were no carpets, only a couple of cusions and a laptop lay in the living room, and the rest of the rooms were empty, only with a couple of paint samples on the empty walls.
