Me and Dan were riding in the car and listening to a CD.
"Hey Dan?" I Asked.
"Yeah"
"Whose this?" I motion to the CD player.
"Oh! that's RadioHead my favourite band as well as muse"
"Oh! my second cousin is in RadioHead!" I exclaim. His eyes widen in shock for the second time and he stares at me.
"Eyes on the road boy!" I giggle.
"Oh right!" he says and looks back to the road.
"Where are we going anyway"
"Well... surprise" he says and winks at me.
I slump back into my seat and look out of the window. Observing the trees and scenery whiz past me.
"Ok Erin close your eyes" Dan says.
"Why?"
"Because I don't want you to see where I'm taking you!" he says.
"OK but don't get too exited" I say and wink at him, closing my eyes.
After driving for about another 10 minutes I feel the car to come to a halt.
"Ok Erin now don't open your eyes" Dan said. I heard a door slam then the one next to me open.
All of a sudden Dan grabs my hand and gently leads me out of the car.
He puts his hands over my eyes and guides me forward.
"Ok three two one!" He uncovers my eyes and for a while it was too bright for me to see anything. As soon as I recovered, my eyes widened in shock as they stared at the beautiful Christmas carnival.
"Ahh DAN!" I say an wrap my arms around his neck. At first he was shocked but eventually wrapped his arms around me.
I slowly pulled away blushing. Grabbing Dans hand, I ran into the carnival and head straight for the games.
"Alright calm down!" he said chuckling at my excitement.
Dan POV
I watched Erin as she struggled to win the massive teddy. He face was concentrated on the shooting game. When she was concentrating she bit her lip and stared intensively.
She looked beautiful in every way and was so glad I was here with her, she deserved the teddy.
"Here let me have a go" I say and take the gun.
"I almost had it though" Erin whined.
"Trust me I've played enough COD to know how to shoot" I say looking at the game.
1 little go later the buzzer beeped and I ha knocked over the alien.
"Yes!" I first bumped the air.
I pondered over which prize to get but my eyes fell on the fluffy teddy bear.
"Ill take the teddy please" I say and quickly take it. Erin was pouting at me as I strutted away with the teddy.
"Meanie" she said and poked my stomach.
"Am I so mean that I would win this just for you?" I say and hand her the teddy. She quickly grabs the teddy and cuddles it.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" she said and wrapped her free hand around my neck. I bury my face into her hair and she lets go.
"Hey lets go on the Ferris wheel!" she squeals and we walk to the line.
I yet again get dragged by Erin to the Ferris wheel and wait with her as she jumps around like an exited puppy.
"Why do you love this so much?" I ask her.
"What so much?" she smiles. Her lips look so soft and perfect as she smiles. I think about kissing them, how great it would b- woah! slow down Dan it's your first date.
"Dan? what do I love so much?" Erin snaps me back to reality.
"O-oh! the Christmas carnival!" I say chuckling nervously.
"Well when I was younger me and my sisters used to come here all the time and my dad would win us all the teddies and prizes. He told us he was just good at winning everything but really he would tip the guys to let him win" I watch her as she smiles at the distant memory.
"Next!" the ferris wheel guy shouts as we manouver into the tight booth.
When we start turning the booth jolts to the right and Erin jumps to my side and burys her head in the crook of my neck.
"O-Oh I-Im sorry" she starts to move back and my body acts before my mind as I gently grab her hand and her pull her back. As she sits back down my eyes meet her and I am stuck in a trance, mesmorised by her beauty. I feel myself moving in closer towards her perfectly chiseled features and her soft lips.
Finally my lips reach hers and mould into two puzzle pieces that seem destined to be together. Like we were from two different places but fate knew we would be together. Strawberries and cream, thing 1 and thing 2.
Sparks right now would be a complete and utter understatement... these were friking new years fireworks that are just 1000 times extravagent and beautiful. It was soft and perfect, exactly how I imagined it to be. Her hands move to my neck and I move mine to her hips.
Our moment was interrupted as we hear a bang and a crash in the background, we both look towards the sound and immediatley our faces are lighted up with the oranges and the pinks bursting from the firworks.
"so cliche" she says.
"its ok... I love it" I say and once again join our lips.
