Chapter 9

When Kiawe didn't show up for breakfast, Leon and Raihan quickly grew worried. "Don't worry about Kiawe. Big Brother tends to fall asleep at his girlfriend's place after they spend time together." Hop almost chokes. "Crystal is Kiawe's girlfriend?" Mimo nods. "She also has a bunch of super cool pokemon. She lived in Kalos before deciding to travel, eventually settling down in Alola. She and Kiawe are super cute together. They are probably still asleep." Sima notes that Kiawe wasn't there and sighs. "Mimo, could you go get your brother? I know he gets to sleep in today but that doesn't mean all day." She nods, a smile crawling onto her face.

    "Do you guys want to come with me? It's very pretty on the way there." The four look at each other and shrug. "Sure, why not." She began to walk down the path at a leisurely pace, waiting for the others to follow. "Crystal is my big sister. I want her and Kiawe to get married so she can actually be my big sister." Raihan held back his laughs, and Leon ran after them. Hop and Victor were staring out into the wilderness, pointing out some of the pokemon that would show up. Raihan let his mind wander to his sister, wondering about how she was, and if she was safe.

    Leon noticed the far-off look in his friends eyes and his face softened significantly. "We'll find her Raihan, and when we do it's going to be the best reunion the world has seen." He sighed. "I'm afraid that she hates me, and that is the reason she left. I don't care where she is, as long as I know she is safe, that is all I need to know. I want to text her, but I'm scared that if I talk to her I'll want to take her back to Galar, where she obviously doesn't want to be." "You wouldn't do that, so relax. I'm sure it has nothing to do with you, you were the best older brother a young girl like her could ask for."

Mimo turned down a fork in the road, listening to their conversation. "Come on guys! You are being so slow!" She called the adult men, who were lagging behind. "Sorry! We're coming!" Mimo perks up when she notices a tall figure on the porch. "It's Greninja! That means Crystal and Kiawe are awake!" She darts forward, the group of four looking at each other before running after her.

"Hey Greninja! Kiawe and Crystal are up right?" Greninja nodded. "Gre, nin." The group caught up to the girl, who was talking to the stoic pokemon excitedly. "Thank you Greninja. Is it alright if we head inside?" Greninja shook his head, pointing at Raihan. "Only he can come in with me?" Greninja nodded. Mimo turned to them. "Well, you guys can chill on the porch, or explore around the property, if you need anything just ask Greninja here." She pushed open the door. "Kiawe! Crystal! You better not be eating any breakfast!" She shouted as she dragged Raihan in behind her. Kiawe popped his head out from around the corner. "Oh, good morning Mimo, Raihan. We weren't eating, I was just sitting with Crystal as she drinks her coffee. Breakfast doesn't start for another 10 minutes."

Amethyst felt herself tense and then remembered her brother probably wouldn't recognize her, seeing as she grew out her hair and changed her whole appearance. She couldn't help herself from holding her breath as her brother and Mimo came around the corner. Mimo darted over to her, throwing herself into a hug. Crystal smiled softly. "Good morning Mimo." "Morning Big Sister!" Amethyst smiled as she tickled Mimo. "Now, what are you doing here this early huh? Here for your big brother?" Mimo giggled and nodded. "Yes, yes!" She looked up, locking eyes with her brother and smiling awkwardly. "Uhm, good morning to you too. I'm Crystal." Raihan saw something familiar in her the moment they locked eyes. He couldn't pinpoint it exactly, but he recognized her from somewhere. "Raihan, nice to meet you."

There was a moment of silence before Raihan spoke up again. "Uh, we were sent here to bring Kiawe to breakfast." Amethyst smiles softly. "Go on, I'll see you later." Kiawe nodded, pushing his chair away. "I'll see you later, you could attempt Mallow or Lana's trial today if you feel up to it." Amethyst gave a soft smile. "I might hang out in the studio or do some grocery shopping today. I'll see you later." Kiawe and the group exit the house, once out Raihan nudged him lightly. "So that's your girlfriend eh?" Kiawe flushed slightly, but nodded. "You take good care of her alright? I may not know much about her, but I can tell she is a keeper." Kiawe nods. "I was panning on it." When they exited the house, they found Leon running away from an angry Noivern, while Hop and Victor just laughed. "Raihan! Help me out please!"

Raihan just shook his head and approached the Noivern, scratching behind its ears and under its head, causing it to emit a happy cheer. Kiawe dodged a headbut from Marowak, sighing in slight annoyance. "Let's go get some breakfast and hope that Leon doesn't get lost on the way back to the ranch." Raihan spoke up, patting Noivern and walking away, ignoring the shout from Leon.
