Amethyst flopped onto the couch exhaustedly, still in her scrubs and dark circles under her eyes. Cinderace placed a concerned paw on her wrist, and she smiled, scratching the side of her face. "I'm fine, just tired." "Ace Cinderace." "Greninja." Greninja stepped up beside Cinderace. "Thank you for your concerns, but I promise I am fine." A knock on her door resounded and she sluggishly made her way to the door. "Hello?" Kiawe stood there, smiling softly. "Hey darling. Are you coming over for dinner tonight?" She thought a moment before nodding. "Yeah, I'll be there." He smiled. "Great, but until then get some sleep. You look tired." She rolled her eyes. "Wow..." Kiawe put his hands up. "I didn't say you looked bad! You are actually really cute when tired." She laughed softly. "Thanks, long shift." Kiawe took note of the pink and white scrubs. "Finally got that job huh?" She nodded. "When I go to the varying trials, I'll have to wear a pin to signify I'm a travelling nurse, and have Comfey with me at all times. But it's worth it, seeing the smiles on trainers faces when their pokemon come out fully healed." Kiawe presses a kiss to her forehead. "I have to go make some deliveries, Dinner may be a little crowded tonight as Mallow is visiting along with the 2 she has." Amethyst nods. "Be sure to tell Mimo our relationship should be regarded as private tonight. It's not her fault she told the others, but I don't want Mallow to know if she is anything like you've said. I really don't want to be interrogated." He chuckled. "I'll do my best. Now you get some rest, I'll see you later." She smiled. "I'll see you later."
She wasted no time in flopping onto the bed, falling asleep almost instantly. When she woke up, it was to Manectric lightly shocking her. She grumbled, getting up to shower and change after checking her clock. She pulled on a better outfit rather than her scrubs, deciding on a gray shirt and a black jacket, going with her black ripped jeans and combat boots. She let her hair down, pulling her belt on and pinning the Nurse pin onto her jacket. She returned her pokemon, deciding on leaving Cinderace and Greninja there to hold down the fort. Dragapult crooned, nudging Amethyst. "You want to come with me? You do know you'll have to stay inside your pokeball right?" After a happy grumble, Dragapult was inside her pokeball.
She climbed onto Bravaries back, relishing in the feeling of being in the sky before they landed. When they landed, Amethyst noted that there was more than just Mallow there. She froze, hiding slightly behind Braviary. Kiawe was quick to approach her. "Mallow brought everyone. I don't know why she didn't tell me. If I would have known I would have told you." He spoke quietly, and she nodded. "It's fine." His expression softened. "You don't have to be here if you don't want to. I'll stop them from following you." She shook her head. "I'll be fine, besides, I promised Mimo I would be here." He sighed. "Alright, but if you get uncomfortable you can always leave." She nodded and let Braviary join the other pokemon.
She stands there awkwardly as 3 girls rush over to her. "Are you Crystal?" The green-haired one speaks, who she could assume was Mallow. She nodded and Mallow gained a bright smile. "Nice to meet you! I'm Mallow. The blonde is Lillie and the Bluenette is Lana." Amethyst nodded. "Nice to meet you as well." Shortly after, Mimo barrels into her, talking loudly about school. Amethyst scoops her up, propping her against her hip and she listens to the girl babble loudly about her classmates.
The Gym Leaders look over at the girl curiously, watching her talk to the younger girl sweetly. "Leon, who is that?" Nessa asked quietly. "Leon, glanced at her out of the corner of his eyes. "Her name is Crystal. She says she is from Kalos, and is really close with Kiawe's family. She works as a Pokemon Nurse in Paniola town and has land right next to the Families." He spoke, eyes narrowing curiously at the girl. "Although some things don't line up." Victor nods. "We've noticed some odd things about her. She is really tense around us, hardly ever makes eye contact and just seems fidgety. Looking at her interacting with Mallow shows it's us." Melony humms. "What else doesn't line up. It could just be she isn't used to dealing with people like the champion." Victor sighs. "The thing is, we all recognize her, but we don't know from where. The craziest thing to me is the fact that she has a Dynamax band, and the shorts to the Gym Uniform." He stops, swallowing thickly. "The weirdest part of all, is the fact that it's Amethyst's number."
The Gym Leaders freeze. They had known the girl moderately well, as Raihan used to bring her to meetups all of the time. "Are you sure?" Kabu asked, and Victor nodded. "It was displayed clear as day while she was comforting a younger trainer about his pokemon." Marnie looked over at the girl, who was now surrounded by the kids from the trainer school, familiarity burning in her chest brightly. A question rang loudly in her mind. 'Who is Crystal, and what does she have to do with Amethyst?'
Marnie felt her expression grow solemn. During her journey, Amethyst was always there to support her and encourage her. She's the one who pushed Marnie into accepting her brother's position as gym leader. She melted Bede's Ice-Cold heart. She was a great Rival to both Victor and Hop. But when was anyone ever there for her? "So it was her number, 100% right?" Marnie's voice came out hoarse, and Victor nodded. "Yes, Number 06." Marnie swallowed thickly, and Hop placed a hand on her shoulder. "We are going to find Amethyst, and when we do, we'll have her explain everything to us." Marnie sighed. "I know, I just miss her, a lot." She turned to her friends. "We all do."
