Chapter 16

Leon glanced at his brother, who was unusually giddy. Victor and Raihan as well, wide smiles planted on their faces. "Alright, what's up with you three?" Victor shrugged. "I don't know what you are talking about." Leon narrowed his eyes.

"No, you three are acting weird." Raihan rolled his eyes. "Are you feeling alright? We aren't doing anything weird." Raihan grew close, putting a hand up to Leon's forehead. "A little warm, but not unusual." Leon smacked Raihan's hands away. "Alright, knock it off. What's the plan for today?"

Kiawe entered the living room. "You guys are coming with me for my deliveries and school. Crystal will be joining us as she needs to familiarise herself with the other Pokemon Centers and show some of the things she has learned abroad."  Kiawe said, grabbing a satchel and slinging it over his shoulder.

"Come on, time's a wastin'. While school may be starting later, deliveries cannot wait." The group followed Kiawe out, finding Amethyst with Braviary, dressed in pink and white scrubs. Her hair was pulled back and she had a Pokeball Belt across her hips.

Kiawe climbed into Charizard's saddle. "You ready to go bud?" Charizard gave a low grumble, and Kiawe waited until the Galarians were firmly situated on their pokemon, before lifting off. Braviary worked to help lighten Charizard's load by carrying one of the containers, and chirped happily as she ascended.

The Galarian's watched the interactions of the deliveries carefully, noting how some kids would run up to Kiawe excitedly, while others went to Amethyst to pet Braviary. Eventually they split ways, Amethyst turning to the Pokemon Center, wishing Kiawe luck.

Amethyst gave a soft sigh in relief as she entered the Pokemon Center, immediately introducing herself to Nurse Joy. Chansey gave a soft chirp in greeting, and Nurse Joy gave a bright smile. "It's good to meet the amazing nurse my sister on Akala spoke so fondly of." Amethyst blushed lightly. "I'm not too amazing, I just know plenty of more natural remedies." Nurse Joy shrugged. "I personally think that is amazing. Anyways, I'll show you around. While it is similar to the Pokemon Center on Akala, it isn't the same."

Amethyst was sure to take note of the varying rooms and their locations as Nurse Joy gave her the tour. "And that concludes today's tour. We have a large storage of varying herbs and berries at the front counter for smaller injuries and illnesses. Feel free to take a look there and in the back room."

Amethyst gave a smile, releasing Comfey to assist in the freshness, organizing the ones that needed to be used sooner than others towards the front, and tossing out the nasty ones. She opened the cooler that contained varying berries, sifting through the brightly colored ones before turning to Nurse Joy.

"Do you happen to have any Aspear, Lum, and Rawst Berries? You seem to be out." Nurse Joy pondered a moment, pursing her lips. "I'll check in the back. Let Chansey here know if you need assistance." She smiled.

"Thank you Nurse Joy." While organising the berries, a teenaged girl approached them. "Excuse me?" Amethyst jumped and smacked her head on the table. She rubbed the sore on her head, standing up. "Yes? Sorry about that. How can I help you?" The girl smiled. "Could you do a check up on a pokemon? She isn't acting like she normally would."

Amethyst nodded, and the girl released a Sylveon, who looked fatigued and pale. Amethyst felts down the pokemon's body and feelers. "Has she been in any battles recently? Or any way she could have gotten sick?" The girl thinks for a moment. "No, we haven't done any performances in a few weeks, and we just arrived here from Kalos." Amethyst hums, reaching in and grabbing a Pecha Berry.

"Do you have any idea if someone would try and poison you or your pokemon?" The teen froze. "I guess I've never thought about that. It would make sense though as there is competition for my title." Amethyst didn't even need to look up as she thinly sliced a Sitrus and Pecha Berry. "Let me guess, Kalos Queen?" The girl sputtered. "How did you..." Amethyst gave a soft smile as she ground the berries into a fine paste. "I lived in Kalos for a short while. I traveled a lot."
