"If he's late for one more minute, lalabas na'ko."
Sumama ang tingin ni Francis and I laughed at him. Napa 'zip' nalang ako ng bunganga to say that I'll just shut up.
Nagsagutan pa sila kung papasok si sir, but it's good nga na hindi pa siya pumapasok kasi wala pa si Gabe. Well... speaking of the devil.
Pumasok siya ng classroom wearing our uniform. The dark blue coat, and the white dress shirt is a bit fitted on his biceps and shoulders, nakabukas ang tatlong butones, at ang kanyang grey tie ay maluwag na nakatali.
It makes me so uneasy seeing him like that. I bit my lip, fighting the urge to fix his tie and his messy but still stylish hair. I shook my head and smiled up at him.
"Ay kaloka iba ang ngiti." I looked at Francis curiously because of his tone, before I waved my hand at Gabriel.
He smiled and jogged beside my seat, "Am I late?"
"Yes. The teacher's in front right now." My face remained stoic.
"Hindi talaga marunong magjoke si Jamie." I hear Hana murmur at pinigilan ko ang tawa sa sinabi niya. That's mean!
"Are you being sarcastic?"
Umirap ako. Hindi ba obvious? "Duh."
"Ohhh so the princess can be sarcastic." Mukhang artista talaga.
"The word is princess, not saint."
So far so good. Our general assembly went well, I introduced Gabriel as our director for the upcoming play at sunod sunod na ang mga nangyayari. Nasa practice room na'ko ng dancers when they were making their choreographies, standing at the side nang bigla akong hinampas ni Francis habang nagpupunas siya ng pawis. "Alam mo, kung nag cut ako tapos na'to."
Inirapan ko siya. "Ewan ko sayo. Palusot ka pa."
I told him goodluck at kumaway bago lumabas. Sinalubong naman agad ako ni Daniel, he's probably finding me kanina pa. "Pres! Nandon ka pala."
Medyo na guilty pa ako nang iwanan ko si Dan sa mga gawain para mag check sa iba, but that's okay. He'll be next year's president and he has to learn now. "What's up?"
"The audition for Voices is happening right now. Nandon na si Gabriel at Melanie. Let's go?" Tumango ako kay Daniel at paglabas ko, the auditions were already ongoing kaya naman napatingin ako kay Gabriel when he tapped the seat beside him, indicating I should sit there kaya ngumiti ako at tumabi sa kanya.
I looked at the paper in front of me and saw a lot of forms para sa auditions. There are a lot of auditionees today, mostly mga freshies, kaya I was reminded of the freshmen me na super passionate sa acting.
"What are you thinking?" I glanced at Gabriel at his question. He was still looking at the boy who's auditioning up the stage at hindi halatang kinakausap niya ako.
"Wala naman... Naisip ko lang na gusto kong mag act. I've stopped acting since I became the president." I sighed at binalik ang tingin kay Rome na nag a-audition sa stage, he's auditioning for the male lead sa Voices, and he's capturing our hearts. Napangiti tuloy ako and glanced at Gabriel. "He's good noh?"
