EPILOGUE

I moved Jamie's hair off her face and leaned towards her, kissing my way down her bare shoulder, nibbling the skin with my teeth. I heard her whimper as she exhaled. I propped my head with an arm, smiling as she buried her head in my chest, "Good morning, princess."

Ngumiti siya at isang mata lang ang binuksan para sumilip sa'kin. I chuckled at her cuteness. "Morning~"

I bent down, our mouths meeting in a gentle kiss, and I took time to relish how soft her lips were as they moved against mine. Previously, our mouths crashed together in frustration and need, but now all I want is her mouth soft against mine. Not as hard and demanding.

I know we have a lot of things to talk about, but it still feels so surreal that she's with me right now.

I take Jamie's face in both hands. The fact that her skin is softer than I remember, her eyes with no hatred, fills me with an emotion I can't describe.

We've come a long way.

"Simon Gabriel Maquinto, what the fuck happened to you." Tumabi sa'kin si Carlisle but I didn't spare him a glance.

I stared at the ring in my hand. The diamond glittering in the sun at napahilamos ako ng mukha.

Napailing ako. We fight a lot, but I know we'll end up together again. That's always how our relationship is, like our parents and their parents before them. "Ang bata mo pa Riel at andaming babae diyan. You have to stop basing your decisions on your parents' wants."

I've been told that I'll marry her since we were kids, it's refreshing to have someone tell me that I can do otherwise.

"Why do you have chocolate and cookies?" Pinakailaman ni Carlisle ang dala kong paperbag and I glared at him.

"That's mine fucker." Kinuha ko sa kanya 'yun. Napangiti ako nang maalala ang babae. Amidst everything that happened, she was truly the highlight of my day. I met her today for the second time, the first was when she tried to stop me from jumping out of a window because she thought I was suicidal.

I never believed in fate, but maybe there's no harm in believing in it because the girl I silently wished to see again, lured me with her voice. The spotlight illuminated her frame as she sings her heart out, wearing a dress in a shade of yellow that highlighted her silky black hair.

I stared at her in awe. Pinaglalaruan ata ako ng tadhana.

"Welcome Ingenios!" A loud feedback followed the shout, at napaangat ang tingin ko galing sa cellphone.

Jamie.

The girl I met who happened to be a Del Valle, stood at the side and is playing the guitar.

"Wait, is that Faith Del Valle?" Narinig ko ang tili ng mga babae sa likod.

"What? Oh my God, it is her!" The vocalist of the band started singing a pop song, and some of the people sang with them.

"That's so cool. She's studying here pala?" Bumalik ang atensyon ko sa harapan nang matapos ang kanta. Jamie's walking up front with a microphone, giving her guitar to one of her band mates on stage.

"She's so pretty! she's like a real life princess. Oh god. Sanaol." Nagtilian sila kasama ng mga kaibigan niya.

I smiled. A princess huh?
